I think your assumptions are pretty correct and only true about people who are into crypto currencies at all. Its true that when you see the bitcoin first time and think that yo will use it then you have to start from scratch and need know many things indeed. I mean we must know what bitcoin is because then only we can know where to use it and how to use in real world. If they can't even know from where to acquire the bitcoin then that would be ridiculous to have it. May be this can be overcome with adding up or upgrading the way bitcoin can be acquired. May be there should be bitcoin terminals from where anyone can buy the bitcoin with addition of fiat currency, like the ATM machine only but more easier to understand what it is exactly.

Well, I think it is indeed too much complicated and harder to use, you have to have knowledge about how it works on internet. You have to make an account, buy bitcoin from different sites ( which takes 5% to 7% Fees) then transfer to exchanges for trading or to use.

How can a normal people, who usually watch youtube video, use fb or other social media, you expect him/her to know all these things? I seen people give up easily, and think it's too techy.

I believe if Bitcoin sell coins on their official website, with lower fees, such as 1% to 2%, and make  a simple wallet for people to use, more & more people would buy and use it.
What is your opinion on it? discuss..

Some fair and valid points. Several years back, an experiment by MIT transferred $100 worth of Bitcoins to students in its particular year. More than half immediately cashed out, and only a handful had kept the coins, learnt more about it and used it, at the end of the experiment. Bear in mind that these were highly technically-gifted millennials with above average knowledge of computers and internet technology. It was evidence that Bitcoin - as intended use as a P2P digital currency - was still difficult to learn and adopt for every day use.

On the other hand, you can earn (or buy) and spend Bitcoin as easily as any other currency or payment provider online without having to learn deeper aspects of Bitcoin tech or its network. For the average user, perhaps web wallets are simplest, and you even have apps now that instantly convert your fiat to crypto and back to fiat whenever you want.

Myself, I've moved to my own private wallet, I've learnt how to spend exactly as I want, adjusting fees and dipping into the network when it's efficient, but perhaps it isn't urgently necessary for the vast majority of people.

P.S. There are already recommended wallets, merchants, and exchanges across multiple sites telling people how to buy and sell Bitcoin and use simple wallets.

About desktop wallet, how would you know which one actually is bitcoin wallet? there are hundreds of online desktop wallet, sometimes it really confusing which one is real and which one is fake.hacking wallet. Everyday i see people post their wallet been hacked and money gone! it is indeed very scary.

Honestly i dont think bitcoin is too complicated for the average people.
Bitcoin is not addressed to 70y old zombies. And thats good.
There are a lot of online services which make it easy for you to set up a (or better: download your own ) wallet.
Afterwards you just have to register in a marketplace and you are ready to buy. Nothing more.
If people are "barely able" to browse youtube videos they just should not touch the internet at all.

Yes it is too much complicated for average people to buy and use bitcoins but it isn't at hard at all if you follow some tutorials. The main problem is average people don't understand how bitcoin works but I guess they will learn as time passes by.

Blockchain now allowing users to buy bitcoins from blockchain wallet so it will be easy for newbies to use bitcoins without any problem.

I think just learning a little bit about blockchain can make you comfortable trading in this market. For me, if you have a phone you can easily get more Bitcoin from engaging in trading and you will find Bitcoin great.

In my opinion the most complicated topic about Bitcoin is the security of the wallet.

Indeed open an account and buy Bitcoins is the same as buying stocks on financial markets.

The main difference is when you have bought stocks, these are safe on your broker account, nobody can steal them.

It is not the case with the Bitcoin : the principle of public and private key is easy to understand but you are always afraid your wallet to be broken ...

And with the anonymity of transactions, you have little chance of finding the culprit  Sad

agree actually here on the philippines to set up an account with bitcoin you have to verify yourself first before you could buy a bitcoin or exchange your bitcoin to cash , it's pretty annoying to people and sometimes the mining fee is much larger compared to the amount that you about to send which is really frustrating to people who have zero background on cryptocurrency

yes you are right that bitcoin is complicated for average people the first thing is that bitcoin is not a easy thing that anyone will understand and invest in bitcoin thats why educated people invest in bitcoin and also thats why education shows real advantage in life.

Yes, i agree with you about the experience and knowledge needed to use bitcoin, but sell bitcoin on bitcoin.org ?? There is no sense about a group of developers creating a exchange in their official site, and the fees of the exchanges its a problem, but I dont think the act of pass this problem to the bitcoin core is the solution.

well, if they feel complicated and difficult to learn about bitcoin, they better not enter a cryptocurrency world. Because they've already give up easily with just that kind of thing. the world of cryptocurrency was a cruel world, people who can't understand how to use it or how it work was actually a dumb. Becuse I believe even junior high school children could learn about this. And why you have to buy bitcoin from different sites while its already provide in exchanges?.  Grin

Well, normal people need to make an effort. I thing the bigger problem is not the complexity but rather the trust in Bitcoin. Many don't understand the technology and see it as voodoo magic. It needs to be explained in schools and universities so that people understand how blockchains work.

It's not complicated for ordinary people, you are trying to make it complicated. Do you worry about fees for transactions? Do not worry because no one will help you free.

I think the same way, it is not actually complicated to learn on how to use actually I saw many facebook users in my country are becoming aware about bitcoins and I noticed that most of them are starting to use bitcoin not as a currency but as a way to earn money online

I guess it's not that hard, it only takes one wallet online to do that, with your online wallet. you can buy and sell bitcoins anytime and anywhere you want.
It`s true, bitcoin sites sell coins, I think it is one of the facilities to get coins, so we can start trading with bitcoin, without having to wait long from taps that provide bitcoin for free.

Too complicated especially when they're not interest Bitcoin as their major income and for those who aren't much into investments and trading. Business minded people are seeking additional sources of income because that's what their parents teached them to become.

I don’t think that bitcoin is so complicated and hard to teach to an average educated person, nope it’s not. Maybe you have done it wrong, the fastest way and the easiest is for you to do it actual. This is the only options I have for them because doing some reading and talking is not my thing.

So every time you think about bitcoin, look at is a experienced based knowledge that has the potential worth leaning in a personal setting not on chats or video calls.

Many people use their mobiles or laptops/PC only for to watch youtube, facebook chat on whatsapp and other social media sites. Many people don’t have computers at their home, they use it only at their work place. For these and many other non mobile and computer using people, it is quiet difficult to understand and use bitcoin. Coaching classes are there for how to operate computer but no guidance centre or class is there where they can learn various functions or operations of bitcoin currency. First buy mobile with mobile wallet, then have internet connection. Account opening process is quiet complicated and expensive, first you have to buy bitcoins from different sites and then transfer them to desired exchange for trading. All these things are quiet difficult for an average person of any country.
