Thought you said you called them and cts and the same person answered. Man this really does suck, sorry. Don't let greed trick you into hasty decisions.

I feel bad for everyone that lost BTC with this scam.

but I really thing there's a good chance of getting these scammers caught.

if they did if fact use google adwords and paid for hosting etc. I don't see why FBI or police in what ever country they originated from couldn't request personal details to investigate this further.  Also if they did use the BTC to buy AntMiners from sushi, he and/or Bitmain must have their address.  If police can contact Bitmain and follow where miners get delivered to and catch these persons red handed.  whoever lost BTC here should quickly report to police/FBI or whoever investigates these crimes so they can contact sushi and Bitmain before they deliver miners.

who know's you could get you BTC back or at worst get some Antminers since it was your BTC that bought them.

I've sent PM to sushi for his assistance.  We just have to wait for sushi or Bitmain to reply.  Don't forget that China is in holiday mode due to CNY.

everyone here should work together and catch these bastards.

That sounds like the best plan of action so far. Good luck and I hope something comes from it.

No, case not closed... case just beginning, lol
Any leads posted will be highly appreciated, and thank you so far for what's posted, please keep diggin for as many angles to catch them as possible.
51 bitcoins is too much to forget about for me, there's no way in hell i'd sit back and let the "Proper authorities" do the job, because they know even less about bitcoin protocols then we do, and don't exactly have a great record of catching scammers, barring a few high-profile cases. I need help, and I'll take it however I can get it!
Thank you everyone for your due diligence...

I totally agree, 51 bitcoins is gonna hurt like hell and where I very much doubt you are gonna get reimbursed due to no regulation on our little coinage, one thing I am pretty sure, is that the UK fraud squad have a totally 100% track record. I think you will find that here in the UK, the police run a pretty tight ship and are very adept at what they do,in all departments. That is of course, if the perpetrators are actually in the UK. This is why you should also file a case with the FBI in the USA.... I think someone gave the link earlier in the thread. please keep us informed on how that goes.

best wishes to you and your brother.

Also interesting. Who spearheaded that ?

i know phoenix1969 and brother got the host company in LA to shut the main www.ctsminer.com site down .middle of the nite was on skype with them...i assume they and others together or
indpedently simply showed the www.ctsminer.com site as "gone" gave them the host company to contact for followup if they wished and that was probably
all it would take on facebeook/google+ to pull the plug or at least "suspend" the pages till followup by the owners of he facebook or google + sites...guess that did not come to pass heh.

i would have pushed for the same but all that was already locked down when I looked earlier..had the same idea

guess that is all a person can do at this point lock up all the loose ends and others with more skills then me here and in law enforcement can "dig" so to speak

would love to see these people caught...show how you 'can' trace bitcoin and addresses to catch someone....should be doable with them buying miners with the fraud proceeds

knock wood

I see. So Facebook and Google+ pulled the plug on their own then. It was not the bitcointalk community being busy with regards to that. I was not aware of Facebook or Google being so active in that regard.

Maybe a more likely scenario is the site served its purpose and the crooks shut it down themselves and also the social network profiles to try to cover their tracks. That seems to be a bit more plausible to me.

I am sorry if I am asking questions. I am just curious and I think some others might be too. Or maybe I am beating a dead horse ?

I can confirm what Searing just stated... Maui deserves that credit of chatting with the domain hosters. Thing is, when they registered their domain, it had already been hosted on another I.P., which was the very same IP that the butterfliabs scam site used to copycat Butterfly Labs site a couple months ago. It was sheer luck the domain hosting company was available via live chat, and they wasted no time taking action.

I might get flamed a bit for this or I might not but I don't give a shit either way.

Sorry but I still think Mauiflipper is shady as hell. Phoenix is a bit shady too. Something does not sit right with me on this whole thing with these two.

Now before anyone goes off and tells me how trustworthy any of the two above are just let me say that there have been much more trustworthy members on these forums who have scammed people in the past so it is not impossible.

I have the benefit of not knowing these guys so I can look at this from a clean perspective.

Either they are incredibly stupid or they are somewhat smart. Something just does not feel right to me on this whole thing. Including their responses now.

Sorry if I will upset anyone with this but just like that site there are too many red flags going on here.

by all means kick them when they are down

just so you know after finding out they we're 'taken' on this  phoeinix and his brother (don't know if he is on this thread or not) stayed up last nite and traced and contacted the hosting company that provided services to www.ctsminer.com.....i was in contact with them all nite (i work nites at a group home for deaf/blind thus i am up nites).....so....they managed and this is no small feat to ....get a hold of someone with some actual power at the host service place...provide them with enough evidence to shiut down www.ctsminer.com immediately...or at least if they were legit they could explain some things to the host miner company....again..this is no mean feat to accomplish in the middle of the night.....so....they got the site killed before europe time....by getting the site cut off imho they probably saved another 100k going up in smoke from the bitcoin community and asia .espeically with their just posted 'prototype test complete pics soon" lies on the site

so sure they got "taken' on this hindsght is 20/20 i'm down 8K to BFL and with my forced update (april order would have arrived thanksgiving no ROI) to a monarch ..that I will likely get in march also no ROI (why did i bother) anyway will be in the same boat as them except i will have paperweights

sh*t happens

so no....they made a mistake and paid for it....for all we know bitcoin could blow up next year and we could all be in the same boat....people in glass houses etc etc

so unless you think i'm making this up as i monitored this all nite and verified when the hosting service pulled the plug ....via skype......cut some people a break will ya

my 2c worth

Searing

p.s. i offered to send him my 7gh jally i got on halloween (pisses me off just looking at it..)....at no cost to distract him a bit but he refused

that does not mean that if you have had help from phoenix1969 in the past and/or feel he has provided a public service by promptly gettting the www.ctsminer.com site closed

here is his donation link ...what the heck suck it up and give a little BTC

(could be me/you/us in same boat someday)

here is the address

Phoenix1969 donate:     bitcoinadress: 1HPgsQTVCHuZSRi2Ed29CZZK7VutgkTPvz

ie he does not know i'm doing this and probably is too proud to ask...so i will suck it up and ask for him

Stupid place to post your spam advertising dude. Did you even read the fucking thread ?

You are posting items for sale in a verified scam thread.

Probably not a smart business move IMO.
