Bitcoin will remain to be the leading digital currency for the years to come as its price continue to climb up. Ethereum price are still low compared to bitcoin price. Maybe an extra ordinary coin is needed to overcome the might of bitcoin.
As of now ethereum can't catch up to the milestone of bitcoins. It is understood because ethereum is still young compared to bitcoin being around for more many years than ethereum. Aside from that, it seem that ethereum technology is not well planned or probably they are not as competent at developer of bitcoin. In just a short period of time there are several fork already done to ethereum that somehow hurt it that much. I would have choose bitcoin at this point but who knows maybe in 10 or 20 years ethereum can be a worthy competitor of bitcoin in terms of mass adoption and popularity.
That is never going to happen that bitcoin would go down and Ethereum will be the one who is going to rise in all of the cryptocurrencies because it is really impossible. Bitcoin is a solid coins in all of the cryptocurrencies because it have the highest price and also living longer than Ethereum. Maybe if you said that Ethereum would go to zero and bitcoin would be the future, then I am going to agree with you with all of my heart and soul.
Your post was created when Etherium is a high potential coin and Bitcoin was just trading at $500 level ,but now it's a different story Bitcoin is almost at $800 level while etherium is sliding down I read from one guy here losing half of what he invest on etherium.

Yeah , You're right . And also in every week we are listening about the ether's new new things ( hard fork ) that is making this altcoin famous in the online market but in actuality hard like things gives the lot of tension in the mind of ether trader .

Bitcoin is limited to 21 millions while 16 millions are already mined.
I don't know if eth is limited (I think it's not), and there are already 87 millions mined in way less time than bitcoin.
So comparing those two in a matter of price per coin does not work.
It's more the market capitalization that count's I think. And here leads bitoin as well with a big big advance!

I prefer bitcoin than eth. Im not convince that eth is the future even 30 years from now bitcoin is the most trusted coin. No one knows bitcoin will be $1000 unlike eth we are not so sure about their securities

Maybe what you mean by bitcoin is the past because it was first invented than ethereum. Ethereum is just an altcoin and bitcoin is a solid coin, there is a difference. Never, even in the next 10-20 years. Those people or whales rather who have put so much time and invested so much wouldnt allow that btc will be going back to almost zero. They wont allow that all of they have suffered will just go into nothing. We know there capabilities regarding in price movement.

At the time when you wee posting this thread bitcoin was at its best level of development but after that it dropped down to bottom and then with the help of developers it came back but now it is not in the stage that it will compete bitcoin. Bitcoin now gone more farther from etherum on the path of success and Ethereum do not look like it will once again stand in competition with bitcoin. So the future is bitcoin and will be it all the time.
