What makes bitcoin better than other Altcoins is popularity. But I currently prefer investing in Altcoins because they tend to provide more profits.

What makes bitcoin better than other Altcoins is popularity. But I currently prefer investing in Altcoins because they tend to provide more profits.
I believe it is the base users and the supports from different company and country. Bitcoin had the most support all through out the cryptocurrency sphere, it is also proven to be the best store of value and somehow legal to some countries since they already announced and accepted it as legal tender, or a method of payment or currency/money.
Because bitcoin is the most popular above all other cryptocurrencies and it has a higher amount of money exchange than any other cryptocurrencies.

In my own opinion, bitcoin is in demand as of now and bitcoin is the most popular among the rest (altcoins). But I will buy some altcoins for investement purpose, because I really believe that other coins has a potential to be pump near in the future.
bitcoin is better in comparison with other coins because other coins are a lot of fraud and such, but bitcoin is rarely a scam though it may exist.
Among all of the cryptos, Bitcoin is the most secure because it has the biggest network and the most number of nodes securing the transactions. After 8 years, it has been attacked the most and survived.
Other than that, most other cryptos are superior to Bitcoin in other aspects.

the beauty of bitcoin and his potential in the cryptocurrency with the other coins are always on top, because bitcoin is the father or king of all coins, the other coins(altcoin) is the follower of bitcoin to become a potential coins but can't goes ontop to race the value of bitcoin.
bitcoin has already set a high benchmark in the crypto world, be it operation, concept wise.

I chose bitcoin for several reasons
1. Bitcoin prices are getting higher by the day
2. Can be used in all places on the earth
3. has a fee fee (transaction) is cheap
4. Tax free
this makes me choose bitcoin in comparison with other cryptocoins.
Oh man. I'm glad for you that you choose Bitcoin over other cryptos, but if you think that Bitcoin's transaction fees are cheaper than those of other crypto currencies you are definitely wrong. There are many cryptos, even among the shittiest ones, which transaction fees are fractions of a cent and with that the transactions go instantly. I'm not saying they are better than Bitcoin in whole, but in relation to fees they are, we can't ignore the truth.

There is a little chance to beat bitcoin. Bitcoin is now well known crypto currency in the world. I think it will know by most of the people very soon. Other coins are not stable perfectly. So I think bitcoin is better than any others coins. 
The vast majority of altcoins were inspired by Bitcoin’s success with the rest due to dissatisfaction, it is a clear point out.
Long term safest (for as far as you can call crypto investments "safe") investment imho is bitcoin.
You wanna go for something short term and trade / gamble then try your luck with altcoins.

I prefer Bitcoin to trade because Bitcoin creating great price ups and downs and in these ups and downs will give the great profit by good trade by understanding each and every thing clearly.
Most altcoins have some technical difference compared to Bitcoin and that is often the reason given for why people invest in them. The reasoning is that since these altcoins have much of the same utility of Bitcoin plus something else, the altcoin can be more useful than Bitcoin and thus take over.
That is possible in the future for bitcoin to get replaced by the altcoins because most of the altcoins are advanced than bitcoin and they have a specific target which is above bitcoin and it can be the replacement if the developers or the team behind the altcoin is really serious and working hard.yeah but it still difficult to replace bitcoin with altcoin because people know bitcoin first and then they learn altcoin and I think bitcoin is the most used by people for withdraw into fiat than altcoin. people used bitcoin because bitcoin is the first crypto currency which become famous today and until now, there is too many altcoin to choose and it makes too confuse to selected. I think people will prefer to have bitcoin and beside that bitcoin could be their long term investment.

If I have a huge amount of investment, I would surely go for bitcoin. A huge amount would be intended for bitcoin. That would be purely holding for at least a year or two. But since I am only holding a very little amount in Bitcoin, I am shifting from altcoins and then bitcoin and then altcoins again, and back to bitcoin again. That is how I do my arrangements in trading.
Unique demand for bitcoin, strong community, strong realtionship for the investors. Good advertisement, celebrities' financial support for it. You can't find these for other coins. Other coins are just "oters" here. Bitcoin is on the top of every coin.
For me, bitcoin is the mother of alt coins. Bitcoin is strongly in demand that other coins depends on it.

i think i will go both because i believe bitcoin will go so high and if bitcoin go high some others altcoins will follow thats the cycle in trading,try to invest in some altcoins you will know the answer personally and for your experience also,do it little by little me i invest in xem in poloniex try it and i also save some of my bitcoin coming from my earnings here in my campaign and faucet 
I guess because of it's rapid growth not just in the price value but the growing acceptance of it by merchants and countries it is also been adopted as a payment processor by online or offline businesses. Som institutional investor has put millions of their money on the line for this crypto currency while other coins has trouble proving their worth.
