Holding both coin for the next 2-5 years is exactly profitable. But holding altcoin for that long I doubt that may be more suitable for short term. Holding Bitcoin for long term will likely profitable when the nexr 2-5 years.

Well im definitely agree with you buddy. Bitcoin is still the best and most profitable coin in the cryptocurrency so far. Even if you hold it for a long term im sure it will still give you a great profit. Unlike ripple, yes it is true that ripple is in good term for now. But we cant say what will happen the next day, what if ripple fall down ? No one can say, but in bitcoin I believed that it can stay and continue to improve for the better.

how if we still choose bitcoin as the main coin and we use ripple as the secondary coin. I mean we use ripple to pay something, trading, or other things that bitcoin do and then we are withdrawn using ripple too. bitcoin is for collecting our wealth and if we are run out of ripple, we can buy with our bitcoin and of course, we can get a lot of ripple because the price is still cheap. I think this sounds good, we have fast transaction and fast time confirming, we have a big giant coin which is bitcoin and we can save our money in bitcoin too.

Bitcoin will be the main crypto currency. It is the the dollar in fiat world. Currently the demand in bitcoin is really high. With the current number of population in relation with the current supply of bitcoin. There will be more demand on it.

The poll is clearly saying that the crypto community is still made up of people who are mostly supportive of Bitcoin more than any alternate cryptocurrency. This goes out to say that Bitcoin will still be the ruling crypto. Bitcoin doubled the the votes of the second. This will serve as an assurance to people in here that Bitcoin has a very strong and soling community of supporters behind it and that it will not easily succumb to any FUDs and negative comments about it. I for one voted for Bitcoin. The reason is simply that it is still the number one.

- fast transactions
- small fees
- real life implementation
- affordable price for whole unit (psychological effect, it's better to have 1 whole coin over 0.00001, even if the second one is way more valuable)

I will always choose Bitcoin. But if you are new in Crypto, choosing ripple is a good choice - it is new, and currently running up to the mainstream, you could easily gain profit.

I chose ripple because in my opinion will be able to have double profit in the next 5 years. how come.? it's very possible, because i believe RIPPLE to BTC will go up. and BTC to FIAT will also increase in price. so we can have double PROFIT.

Bitcoin and ripple are good but Im into bitcoin since. Bitcoin is the best and growth is increasing. I dont doubt ripple because it is also a profitable coin. When you buy or invest in bitcoin hold for it for long term because there is a big chance to gain more profit.

BTC and ETH will last forever... while I'm not really sure about XRP in a long run... don't forget that XRP is a centralized coin...

I think bitcoin is the best coin. Ripple is nowhere near of it. I don't think that ripple can match bitcoin in future too. Only Ethereum has the potential to match bitcoin. Although, Ripple has pumped hard in recent times, but it can crash anytime.

I would rather go to bitcoin since bitcoin is more established and stable than any other altcoins. Bitcoin which more likely to survive than ripple in my opinion.

Bitcoin is the true decentralized coin and I believe in it.. But do you guys think it can find a way to improve its really expensive fees today? I also think twice about sending payments due to how long it takes to send payments. Still hope it will have a fix for this though.
