I don't doubt this prediction even if it's true or not. Because, like last year bitcoin predicted to pass $10K, many people doubt it but eventually it goes even further. So also with value of $40K, I do not doubt it.
I think more than 40 k is possible.

Predicted by whom? That price is so huge and needed more people support to reach for that numbers, But we never actually knew on what will happen on it since their so many speculation,fuds,hypes or anything can be implant on bitcoins ecosystem by that year comes. And let's just put our trust on the bitcoins system since we all know we might gonna see some major huge changes.
The option is that he will be able to achieve this, but at any time such growth may stop, which apparently will not happen

I think Bitcoin will get a big retrace down to 5k USD and many people which jump too late on the train will get broke. Just look why the most are here, just to speculate, only the old Users are using BTC to pay and use as payment, all others are crying because of high fees and stucking transactions.
Also many people will loose much BTC in the Mempool. There are too much stucking with low paid fees, this Bitcoins will stay forever into the pool because no Minder will be intrested in taking them with a low fee.

Chances are there but when it will reach it is not possible to predict because lot hyip is circulating around the globe with Bitcoin price. When any banks saying Bitcoin is fraud then the price of Bitcoin is increasing. First of all government should understand the potential in it before the price increases.

Going off this year, and how things are only speeding up! No i don't think it is high expectations. It might not hit $50k, but I kind of feel like $50k might be too low a prediction! Bitcoin has only been going crazy since May, in just over 7 months it's gone from $1400 to $13,400 for a 9.5x increase in just over 7 months. And you're telling me it can't do another less the 4x increase in ~13 months? No I think that is well within the realm of what is possible for bitcoin next year.

As long as there is fresh money flowing into this market, and people are willing to buy themselves into the market at any possible price, then it will happen. However, people due to the recent increase think that this market will only go up in value, and when the market does happen to correct significantly at whatever time, people will get the shock of their life when they see how the market gets sold down. One way or another, the correction will happen, the only question that matters but people have no answer to, is when it is going to happen.
