It's not a new thing, btc scamming businesses and fake btc giveaways are popping up every year.  just a bit of advice is not to trust 100% of projects or anything that offers big bonuses or anything else that doesn't make sense.
Government Giveaways? do people believe that any of their Governments outside El Salvador's Government  Grin will actually be doing any cryptocurrency giveaway? I believe they are the ones that are actually setting themselves up to be scammed. On the other hand with regards to other forms of scam especially with some crappy exchanges, that's on another level.

Actually nowadays scammers already use the normal strategy in which promising not Huge bonuses because they already Learn about people having idea of that "Too Good to Be True "  scandal .
So now they are promoting and offering normal benefits yet in the end they will scam still.
so Meaning Invest at your own risk in deepest evaluation and deepest research you can have for your funds to keep safe.

Scammers will not miss an opportunity to commit fraud in any way, especially now that Bitcoin's popularity is increasing. So many newcomers join
the crypto world, who don't have the knowledge and experience in the crypto world. These newcomers will be prime targets for scammers, as they
will be more easily tempted by unreasonable offers. So I agree with you, that Bitcoin scamming business is popping up a lot, indeed we should not
be too trusting 100% that promises something excessive and unreasonable. Because after all making a profit from Bitcoin requires a process and
cannot get rich instantly.

Bitcoin fraud is taking on incredible proportions in 2021: Almost every day my friends and I get calls from fraudulent Bitcoin trading platforms that do not have a banking license and will certainly never pay out the money again.

I am looking for a site in English that collects and lists all cases.

In German there are e.g. such lists https://www.btc-forum.de/forum/index.php?board/14-betrug-mit-bitcoin-handelsplattformen-user-berichten-vom-bitcoin-scam/

Do you have a tip where I can find something like that in English?

So just thinking out in my head here  in light of the bitcoin7.com scam  ( which your's truly called it a scam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=17043.0;all ) where and how do these scams come about ?

I'm starting to see a pattern here between the polish exchange , mybitcoin and the other's who seem to have been "scammed" by some bad people .  My theory:

Build a front-facing website that actually looks like a "business" , then cry-foul that russians came and took your business wallet along with all the BTC of your customers, sell the company to anyone who wants it  then walk-away with all the coins.

Rinse & Repeat. I mean all these sites come up with the same Bullshit could their be collusion involved with all these? Should we put Phinnaeus Gage on the case?

Thoughts?

There are people who are really scamming other investors where they are using bitcoin concept as a pyramid scheme or ponzi and this people who does not really know about cryptocurrency are believing immediately and that's the reason why other people are thinking that bitcoins is just a scam.

And while these businesses are blooming, it gives negative feedback to bitcoin's reputation making those people believe that bitcoin is indeed a scam. Hopefully these people behind these scams will be put behind bars soon.

Hi all,

What do think about Welltrado (welltrado.io)?
I saw Celcius network already raised 30M usd, do you think Welltrado could raise more?
I would like to invest in this ICO, but I'd like to hear your opinions.

Cheers

along with the increasing popularity of bitcoin.
many irresponsible person use the big name bitcoin, as a tool for their personal gain.
and disadvantage others, who trust bitcoin as a long-term investment that profitable for them.
as an investor we should be more careful in investing, and should be able to recognize a fraud under the guise of bitcoin investment.

I wonder if there is a competition about getting scammed. I got scammed like 5-10 times already with Bitcoin.
You're getting scammed in bitcoin is all your fault, people can't easily get scammed like that if you're carefully in every transaction of yours.
Using escrow for every single trade is a key to avoid scams and i don't think you're using this service right ?
People have to protect their own balance because others won't help you to do it.

Add to the list of scams..... I just realised I m a victim of the bit4g scam. They pay out oversized profits but u can't withdraw them. They cite btc congestion n deny withdrawals. Emails and support post has gone un answered which is a big red flag. Please be forewarned n share this alert with all in the community. Maybe someone can draw up a list of all the scams so more people can avoid crypto grief and loss of $. We are all in it together.

This is the only downfall with bitcoin is, it is anonymous, and very hard to track. So it is very easy for scammer, to scam people. Few days here in my city it happened, and it was all over the news, and people start to think bitcoin is a scam. But they do not understand it is just the currency scammer use to scam people.

yeah it is chronic for now becasue the bitcoin has a high value even though it is dropping price until now, there are more people want to get bitcoin because it is number one digital currency. bad people want the bitcoin because it is a expensive money and has a fast trnsaction it is fast negotiation but if we have alert and we know the strategy of the scammer im sure scammer wont let do it to you because you are careful
We all know trusted teams that gives a great project rather than some new comers that are saying thattheir ICO are the best among the rest in the crypto currency. Its better to research more about what the project is all about and know the potential of its growth.

Cheating is not even a fact of currency ... people are being scammed to do free work or work or whatever and do not get me started with organized religious scams,
cheating is a part of life. There's always a red flag you can search for but only indications.
Long service life is a good indication but then again I have seen the pyramids of the last decade.

Scam is a business and it is here to stay. It depends on the people's mindset, most of those who are getting scammed are believing in a "Get Rich Quick Scheme" which is too good to be true, therefore, they could lose money. There should be learning from own and others' mistake to avoid scam.
