So just thinking out in my head here in light of the bitcoin7.com scam ( which your's truly called it a scam
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=17043.0;all ) where and how do these scams come about ?
I'm starting to see a pattern here between the polish exchange , mybitcoin and the other's who seem to have been "scammed" by some bad people . My theory:
Build a front-facing website that actually looks like a "business" , then cry-foul that russians came and took your business wallet along with all the BTC of your customers, sell the company to anyone who wants it then walk-away with all the coins.
Rinse & Repeat. I mean all these sites come up with the same Bullshit could their be collusion involved with all these? Should we put Phinnaeus Gage on the case?
Thoughts?
Just on a seperate remark: bitomat.pl was no scam as far as I'm concerned. First of all, every single BTC was refunded, all the money was handed over as well. Except from the owner of Bitomat, who lost a lot of time and nevers, nobody else lost anything!!! From all the communication I had witht he owner I'm pretty sure that what he described actually happened the way he described it.
On Bitcoin7: They have stopped their customer service like 2 month ago, API was broken since 1 1/2 month and not repaired... I don't think it was actual scam - Most likely they just didn't care about the website any more and left it lying around, ready to be hacked.
Mybitcoin.com is the only thinkg that looks like real scam to me.
As a piece of advice: don't put money on exchanges where you don't know the real identity of the owners and trust them with the money.
