Newcomers are so desperate to earn bitcoin wherever and however they can, creating opportunity for the scammers.

Yeah, they act like bitcoin desperado junkies hell bent on getting their coin fix, it's pathetic. Seeing the way some people act on this forum, they are virtually asking to be scammed.

Thoughts?
Be always careful dealing with sites.

Absolutely. You can double that when dealing with 'bitcoin investment' sites.

I don't understand why we need to deal with them when there are reputable exchangers around. Probably what we need here is a list of all reputable sites we can trust.

Also if the offer is too good to be true, then think twice. Probably that is for scam investment firm promising good return for btc entrusted to them

lately there is more scams than legit things heh

I agree. More scams then legit businesses.....

Scams will always be there. That is somewhat another color of life.

You don't know what your talking about.  There are legit business adopting bitocin everday.  Please don't mislead others because you're ignorant to the facts.
The Bitcoin scamming business will never be as big of a boom as the Cartel banks scamming business.  But who cares about that right?   Roll Eyes
You are correct to say that there are legit businesses that are associated with and that accept bitcoin. However it is also true that there are a lot of bitcoin related scams out there. The reason for the large number of scams is because of the fact there that it is so easy to hide your identity when dealing in bitcoin so scammers think they can scam without anyone knowing who they really are

The scamming business is increasing but it existed since the very first years of bitcoin life, I have been scammed one time untill now and I hope that it will be enough for life.

gett
You're not really a fully-fledged member of the bitcoin community unless you've been scammed at least once.

 Sad

SOOO True... I was scammed out of 1/2 BTC when I first started with it through a fake (real looking) wallet "service." I got serviced, to be quite sure.

I lost I lost $400 worth of BTC by fluctuating prices on some stupid Sephora gift cards for my beloved cousin. DERP!

etc....

Careful! I'm super grateful for bitcointalk.org so I can gain some experience with this before getting kicked in the bollocks.... meant wallet... again!

Cheers, mates!

Yes plus it is too early. Already there are services that rubber stump your good service, like http://www.badbitcoin.org/verify/index.htm.
The best indicator however for good service and trust is longevity, so people stop dumping your money on 2 day operations.
Start small and if trust is gained increase iteratively.

I haven't heard of this website before, think I could get my business listed up their as safe?
