Using my pattern as an example,. Nothing beats balancing your portf.

Bitcoin definitely must be 60%
Then valuable altcoins follow suits.

Do not pack altcoins for storage sake
Invest s in value always
If you can go for more than 60% and the rest should be inside alts that have real value in terms of usages and good developments.
There's always a big risk when you are going to take alts for longer holdings as the market valuations is hard to predict and once the
huge dumped take place it's really hard to recover your money.

Putting all my money on bitcoin is more smarter than going for altcoins? I think bitcoin will always surge even if it loses value today, i never think twice about this anymore because in the past if i never switched to altcoin i would have be in big profit today, what do you guys think about my plan? Stupid or 👍

All I could say is that you need to know the appropriate time to buy or sell because at times hodling alone at times can have bad side like how cryptocurrencies prices devalued since 2017.

I get what you are saying, bitcoin does not rise like altcoins in bull market while it those not fall like altcoins in bearish market.

That said, you need to know the appropriate time to convert to dollar than hodling alone. What if the bullish market start so soon probably in April, if bitcoin move up 200% let us expect altcoins to move up 400%. So, at this time, it is better to hodl altcoin so that you can gain from 400% instead of 200% example above.

Hodling bitcoin should be during bearish market as many holders are converting their altcoins to bitcoin at the time, that is what makes the price of bitcoin to fall like altcoin at the time.

So, finally, hodl bitcoin in bear market and if the price fall the more, then you can convert it to dollar asap, you should also hodl altcoins in bullish market.

approaching halving, owning Bitcoin I think will be a bit risky, because of course traders have a strategy of increasing their Bitcoin before PUMP after halving, I think Altcoin can be considered

You can made bigger profit on altcoins in less time and then you can buy Bitcoin. Consider if it is not better to buy cheap altcoins and later exchange it to BTC.  Wink

There is nothing wrong with your plan because you are indeed right about it is worthy to invest or to put all your money into Bitcoin because it is your own perspective and strategy towards cryptocurrency. But for me, I still value the existence of Altcoins in the market that is why I do invest in both Bitcoin and Altcoins making parting of my budget to have investment on both types of cryptocurrencies. There are lots of valuable cryptocurrencies out there aside from Bitcoin which is under Altcoins that is why I keep on hand getting investment on those. The only challenge is for me to determine and sort out valuable, worthy and potential Altcoins out of the numerous ones that exist in the market. So for me, I must consider having both Bitcoin and Altcoins on my account rather than residing into one because it will be more profitable and beneficial having both for me.

2019 has gone, try to research the previous years, which coin did well overall. I researched and found Bitcoin. So, you can't compare between Bitcoin and altcoin investment, you may buy both to make more opportunities for yourselves. But this is just my point of view, don't invest only by hearing someone, try to research and verify first.

Looking with situation on market which one dominance and faster for getting much profit, but for one week later I think bitcoin keep profitable assets for investing because always have higher and lower price, many time bitcoin could raise more than 10% and later could down with lower price change under 7%, best time for getting moment with bitcoin trading and investing with short moment.
in search of profit it will depend on the momentum that is there, if there is good momentum then we will get faster profits for sure and this applies vice versa too. the most important thing for me when looking for profit is to know the limits to get profit.

I agree with your plan. I believe it is better to invest in bitcoin than altcoins. Bitcoin is more trusted and profitable crypto coin. Also if you want to invest your some capital in altcoins you can choose ETH, BNB, LTC, EOS.
You said that it is better to invest in bitcoin than any altcoins, but in the end you are suggesting to invest in eth, bnb, ltc and eos?  Grin

Also, bitcoin is indeed trusted, but it doesn't mean that altcoins cannot be trusted. There is a lot of popular and trusted altcoins, that includes the altcoins that you have mentioned. BTW, investing in bitcoin is good, but investment should not be put in just one place, should be spread into different investment for your own benefit.

You should invest in big alcoins like ETH and BNB, if the altcoin season has arrived you will get a very big profit. investing in bitcoin is a very correct action but you also have to have other options to make a profit, one of which is to invest in altcoin. maybe you have to think again and again on this issue  Smiley

If you want your money to be a bit safer. You will invest on Bitcoin. But if you want to take a higher risk and probably higher profit, then you will go with Altcoins. I think we invest on both so we can have a safe money and a higher earning coin. We should not put all our eggs on a single basket.
actually, I have thought this way, but seeing the potential of altcoin pair bitcoin is quite good, so many people hold altcoin to be exchanged in the form of bitcoin when the price is very high in bitcoin pairs. however, many people still prefer altcoin just to increase their bitcoin numbers.
Because they know that altcoins price will swing when the bitcoin price will go up. All altcoin that pairs on bitcoin will rise too and it will rely on bitcoin price movement. So, they also prefer to hold bitcoin rather than the altcoin. Holding altcoins is very risky but if it is successfully grown up the profit will triple and possible huge profit will be yours. But the risk was always there that's why to lower risk I invest to bitcoin itself.

I am just wondering what kind of past did you have.  Having your collections be stock on one crypto is by majority not recommended. I couldn't say it is a stupid idea but the better one is diversifying because some altcoins are growing further than bitcoin, not they already surpassed the price but they got growth much further than bitcoin.

My strategy is quite simple - a half of your portfolio should consist of Bitcoin while you can buy some altcoins for the other half. BTC is a safe asset here while altcoins are more risky and profitable.

Making Smart Money Work
January 11, 2020, 08:58:01 AM
yes it is a very good plan because bitcoin is the most stable coin and has always been everyone's first choice in investing. I also feel guilty about losing a lot of money when investing in some altcoin
Bitcoin is not stable and it has never stable for once, quite comparing it to stable coins like USDC or USDT, bitcoin price fluctuates lots of time but yes its the best and most reliable digital currency till date, you should consider few good altcoins as well when you have enough money cos sometimes they can be way profitable than bitcoin

You are infinite percent right. Investing in bitcoin is always a smart idea. So do not hesitate to invest in it. It is right that price of bitcoin fluctuates like other coins. But what is interesting is that its price does not fluctuate as much as altcoins do. You recover your loses if you wait a little longer for bitcoin to rise.
