Why not? We can see rapid use of bitcoin everywhere. Then if it used largely it will be an international currency

Yeah it has an potential to become international currency in future when it will be widely used and accepted, as of now its approaching towards it and its on developing stage.

The future is bitcoin and even currently, it is being used in all parts of the world. How do you call a currency that is being used globally. I highly suspect  that bitcoin is now second to the dollar globally. Although it has not been formalized, it is being used by so many people because of its decentralized nature.

Currently we cannot say that Bitcoin is 2nd best to USD. The second bests are still Euro and Pound. The bitcoin is competing all three of them and it has done great in very short period of time.  Alone Bitcoin is a threat to USD / EUR0 /  Pound. and reason of it is that there are so many features and advantages of bitcoins which FIAT doesn't  posses.

Bitcoin is a digital currency and rest are physical currencies, but we can say that bitcoin is the best virtual currency that we have that can take over fiat in near future.

There will be I feel in a point in time, where it becomes accepted to consider as a different metric to measure up the fiat.

If the bitcoin goes on similar to a gold standard it can be used as colleratal debt for banks without paying premium for physical gold. I mean thats the only real metric we can go by to save fiat which is physical.

Maybe but not totally a currency because it is a decentralized digital currency and it will never be replace the US Dollar and it doesnt have a fixed price so i dont think that the government and almost all countries will accept bitcoin to be a international currency it will stay as a international digital currency .
I think that makes it decentralized bitcoin become a global currency. because there is no one who can control the bitcoin. so that bitcoin will become the most attractive currency
perhaps only a few companies will adopt bitcoin . if it 's a country that's not possible , because no one can control the bitcoin , and if that happens , there will be permanent damage to the economic system within a country . so we can not expect much more for bitcoin can be used comprehensively in their daily economic activities

Bitcoin will be easily controllable within a country or internationally if each of the coin is mined and if everyone adopt it and start to use it for their normal use instead of cash, as with that there will be a stability in its price and so the banks will accept it.

Yes I agree with you. You can use bitcoin online and such you can even pay for your bill at restaurant or coffee shop in bitcoin. But to be an international currency is a lot of adoptions and recognizations yet to happen. So bitcoin will stay on the internet till then hopefully for time being.

You said never? I'd say it is just a matter of time and we will come to a point where digital currency is the main thing over those paper money that made out of thin air.

It's true, because people don't trust the government so they will choose a more decentralized currency and that would only happen if the government will not make a necessary measures to ban bitcoins in their respective countries.

I dont think that BTC can be an international currency due to the fact of keeping under order. You cant just keep sitting there and doing nothing all day and expect to make money, and what would happen to BTC? most likely it would have to crash due to GDP problems.

I personally can't see it ever being a international currency, RATHER than just trades.
Ha ha. What do bankers today in the banks? Perhaps produce tractors? For what real GDP we are talking in a global economy? Game with digits  of the same bankers and the ultimate goal is to have a BONUS for them. Wink

It takes time to convince the masses to adopt bitcoins but later in the future, with the help of new technology and it could be easy for them to understand the real value of bitcoins then they will strongly adopt with it even if there is not support by the government.
so the conclusion become an international currency is highly improbable . many factors that are not support bitcoin. and of course many of the problems that occur when bitcoin up to become an international currency.
