Why? Is it not? You mean if I go to the other part of the world I cant buy it or sell it. Maybe even use it to an online shop? I can still use it right? So it is an international currency.

Oh yeah! that would be a dream come true. i would be like the new generation of millionaires. ok i am exaggerating way too much. But it would be really good.
Indeed as others stated, it kinda already is but we still need it for more people to join us..
The more, the better.

This would be a dream indeed but I think that we can do this honestly, its all about the fact that it needs to get more popular soon.
If this wil happen it will be done easily, we just need a little more time with the halving in my eyes than its possible.
Being international currency is true, we have witness that most developed countries have recognize bitcoins and they are already using it, that would simple mean that we have a good future as they are starting to adopt, the increase is inevitable so due time we will mature.
International currency now bitcoin is because you can spend it in any online shop world wide but i think it will just used in online transaction and i do not see bitcoin will be currency like what are we using right now. I hope my speculation is wrong

Bitcoin is international but it's not really a currency. It has more value in sending money and a way to make purchases like paypal or credit cards.

If bitcoin to be international currency, what do you think?
You can use it every where and anywhere, without exchange it.
And how to use transaction with it, if bitcoin just crypto currency?
How many people like with this thread?

I think you mean that Bitcoin will go to the mainstream and then we will not have to exchange it, or use the Visa / Mastercard Bitcoin Cards to pay in our area.

It is all a matter of time - it's just a mental and technical barrier. When Bitcoin will generally accepted it will be enough to upgrade or change payments terminals.
Using visa debitcart by paying with bitcoins would be something stupid i guess, probably you would buy them at the moment you use the debit card, with some retarded exchange rate.
Well,i would prefer having some BTC card which i can use to pay normally like with debit card, but just with bitcoins from my wallet.Let's say "BlockChain MasterCard" Cheesy

then it would be taxable? and i think it would become overrated and it will decline.
Not gonna happen. If people want this to become an international currency it is because of it's good behaviors like a tax-free money, secured transactions and anonymity.

It will be only taxable if it gets green signal from Government and that is never gonna happen, so we don't  have to pay taxes on it and that is the best advantage.
don't you think that bitcoins are already an international currency??? Which ever country you are in, bitcoins are already recognised. And most people in the internet are already into it and using it. It this still does not consider bitcoins as international currency, i don't know what else to call it.

Bitcoin is already international currency and bitcoin is just waiting for adoption from other countries. I hope this coming bitcoin halving can help bitcoin to be more popular and gain more users so someday the price will increase so high and we can earn a lot of money from that.

The number of countries where Bitcoin does not have a significant presence is huge. This represents a large potential.
If adoption increases in these areas, Bitcoin's price can really take off. Smiley
I think we already invaded majority of the countries in the world, as long as a country has an internet in the are they could easily discover bitcoins and for sure their are already users in a certain area but as to number of user it it not that big.

Likely it is but even Person_A is using bitcoin in their country, it doesn't mean that majority of people there knows bitcoin too. Bitcoin is popular in our view because everyday we are here in bitcoin world but if you look outside the box and told other people if they know bitcoin, it's not yet popular even for a country that bitcoin is allowed.
Very few people who have even heard about Bitcoin still remember it if they heard it longer than a month ago and never looked into it again. Bitcoin is known among the people who have done a bit more research than just hearing it once or twice, but there are a lot of people in a lot of countries where Bitcoin is allowed that simply don't remember what it is. It will more than likely not be a truly "international" currency until a lot more people start to use Bitcoin in more countries, but the current userbase isn't bad.
For one reason, only open minded people will remember and be interested about bitcoin, for those who like to play safe and live life in a conventional way they prefer the more regulated and proven one.

Answers are :
1) It is an international currency
2) I use it many places without exchanging ( bought vps, done recharge, bought gift cards)
3) im confused about this question
4) i liked this thread:)
This is the most organized answer on this thread. I would like just to add on the usage as international currency. It is already an international currency since it is not bounded by political boundaries. Maybe the question should be changed as Bitcoin as International Legal Tender or bitcoin as the only currency. I guess thats what the author would like to imply at his post.
And the best thing with bitcoins is being decentralized and there is no much requirements to operate it, if you have an internet then you are good to go, the only choice you can make is either you will be an investors or a spenders online for buy and sell of products and services.

Bitcoin is already an international currency though is is not formal since there are no declaration. But as a fact that any person around the globe can use bitcoin as long as he has an access to the internet, and thats what makes it an international currency. Though it is not an official legal tender but somehow you can buy things using bitcoin though only in small scale or there are limited people who accept bitcoins as an exchange to purchase of goods.
We can only called it formal when the government start to support bitcoins but regulating it, for now although we have a good numbers of adopters but it is still risky in the future as anytime it could collapse and loss our investments.
