Everything is possible with the high volatility that characterizes the crypto world, but in my opinion is very unlikely to happen ($ 1000 is extremely low...). Anyway predicting the price of bitcoin in the long run is very difficult, if not impossible  Wink

Every day Wall Street & Co predicts something. Every day we hear the opinion of analysts, which in 99% do not come true. Personally, I do not believe that it will sink to a price of $1000

This is just a mere predicition without any proofs. We all know that price of this cryptos are really hard to predict. But for me I think bitcoin would really drop this year because this year is the year for ethereum to rise.

Speculations are pretty much welcomed in Crypto, everyone tries to amke a prediction. Even though that Bitcoin is going through a down trend since this month, doesn't mean that we are going to see it go low as low as $1000. To me, the least it can go is staying between $8000-$10000. Aside that, Bitcoin is not going down further.

prediction can be real or not depending on the outcome. if it is real he will celebrate because he predict it right but if it wrong he would say it is normal cause it is a prediction. anything could happen in bitcoin anytime so everyone have its own opinion, prediction, speculation. but some/most of the time those that have power, popular or rich are believe to be saying true by their followers/fans.
we just have to believe in bitcoin  Smiley

Everything in crypto is possible. the market is extremely volatile and it reacts very quickly to news. I believe in the future of it, so regardless of price, im hodling away

There is absolutely no way to predict something like that. It's a possibility - this is all what you can say. As for the rest, it is just like playing dice. What's true is that drops of Bitcoin's price of this magnitude have already happened during Bitcoin's life, even though newcomers may ignore that. So it could well happen again. Or not.

I don't think such a drop has actually happened, I could be wrong, the biggest drops have been about a 90% fall. To $1000 or below would be a near 95% fall, doesn't seem like much difference but it is a 100% difference if you're looking at it from 1k to 2k.

That is just a prediction, and anyone can make a prediction as well. I think it's very unlikely, maybe the worst is at $6k / bitcoin.  Personally, I think they are just spreading F.U.D so people will sell off their bitcoin. And while it's dropping, those wallstreet guys would buy it again. It's not the first time though.

But still, everything is possible in the crypto market. So, dropping to $1k might be happening as well. We just don't know it.

Bitcoin To Drop As Low As $1000 This Year, Wall Street CIO Predicts
"I wouldn't be surprised if over the next year it's down to $1,000 to $3,000,"

Is this going to be real or not ?

Does this man have any experience in crypto? Obviously he's CIO for a reason, but if he's looking at charts directly without an understanding of the technology, then what he says is bullshit. BTC is not a regular market and its relatively new.

Also, where's the source of this quote?

On what basis will bitcoins drop to 1000$. Do you thin this is even possible. They are causing holders to fear and sell it cheap then they later sell it higher to public. Keep it still without any fear. It will continue it upward journey soon.

The peak price of bitcoin was reach last December 17 with the Price of $19,900+ and since then the decline was seen. If the trend will continue the $3000 to $1ooo mark is possible. My advise is to be cautious and hold first the the money until the trend reverse from downtrend to uptrend.

It is only a prediction and it is only their opinion. They do not have tools to rely on. If they are good at prediction then why they did not predict that Bitcoin's value will go up as high as $19,000.00. The Bitcoin value is volatile, it can go up or down faster than you ever imagine.

I don't believe that will happen.

Everybody is free to make whatever statement they want, but statement like this are just trying to manipulate the market, bring panic and drop the price.

Wow, its gonna be a disaster into bitcoin holders especially those people that are buying in high price. I feel that they can't sleep looking at their money losing. But is just an speculations and it is not a 100% assurance that would be happen in the coming days, though there is possibilities that it will dump but it won't directly go that much. There is only 2 things that might happen to bitcoin in the market, either up and down.

Why are all selling now? Because people need cash to buy a lot of BTC in the future. BTC Lightning is coming soon.
People need a lot of dollars for this. The world's first transaction on Lightning Network has been completed.
The BTC price will go as high as we can not imagine. Remember my words in a few months >>>>2019

and yes. also the wallstreet guys will buy btc. you are waiting for the low price because of FUD

So while I'm away not looking to my portfolio this what happened. Again, the same prediction / claim happened last time when Jamie Dimon said that bitcoin is a fraud and there's a guy entitled "wolf of wall st." called bitcoin a scam. They spread a lot of FUD to the people even before and they are aware on what bitcoin really is. Don't believe on what they say, they only want new holders to sell so they can buy at dip.
