Oh, I should point out I never meant you could get the returns BT Trader is claiming but you could certainly provide a *good* return.

None of us know what the if-this-isn't-a-Ponzi business model was because they didn't tell us, so we've only ourselves to blame.

I'm not denying it's a Ponzi - as has become truth rather than suspicion - but it is possible to run managed arbitrage and everyone make some money from it. Maybe not as much as these guys were claiming, but you could do well without shafting anyone.

As for the PR, well, the masterstroke was the mining shares. We all know that's a business model that works so it gave some people

Anyone with $100k and a mathematical brain (I have neither) can technically make $1000/day with arbitrage, more on a particularly volatile day, less on a shocker of a day, even a loss.

I still think the staff have been left high and dry by this Carley character, but I doubt there's eight anybodies trading, they're an invention. The people who do the comms, they're the ones who are left high and dry. I vaguely recall someone mentioning they'd never met Carley, which is when the dial swung firmly to Ponzi.

As with anything in the BTC world, be prepared to lose your inputs because nine times out of ten, when you entrust your cash/coin to others in this world, they steal it.

The thing about this venture is that it's entirely possible to run it honestly and provide good returns for investors but nobody seems to want to do the work.

They had no business model, it was an obvious ponzi. If someone actually has a method to consistently produce the returns BT claimed, they wouldn't pay random people on the internet so much for doing nothing. If you cannot see it, feel free to look through the thread for more information on why it is an ponzi.

If anyone had any doubt of this, it ought to be erased now  --Everybody is fussing about the cashouts being clogged, but the more interesting part of the whole thing is the lack of trading..    Thomas's email this morning indicated nobody knew what was going on, and everybody was waiting for John..  Now if they indeed had 8 traders like they had previously claimed,  wouldn't those guys know why they couldn't work?  From what we can tell they haven't worked since Wednesday of last week..  No idea? Really?

There is no business except for the PR business and the Cash-in, cash-out..  Otherwise the staff wouldn't be clueless.  They would know "We are waiting on...." whatever..

Well, it certainly looks like Mr Carley has disappeared, although one does hold out hope that he resurfaces to save the day.

It's worth pointing out that the people who work for him are not at fault here - most people go into jobs perfectly happy, get given a good story and are willing to go along with that story.

This is my third adventure in BTC and like the first two, it has been riddled with lies and dishonesty, as is this thread. The thing about this venture is that it's entirely possible to run it honestly and provide good returns for investors but nobody seems to want to do the work.

Who knows who's telling the truth? There's a certain irresistible theatre to this whole thing, isn't there?

"I myself am the proud owner of a unicorn horn, try and prove me wrong," etc. Butthurts, bans, bitcoin-babes, you can't possibly make this stuff up.

But our mate Mr Carley is slippery sucker. How convenient he's found a typhoon into which he could disappear. I think comment of the century goes to pleiotropik with "The typhoon ate my homework." Utterly brilliant.

Ah well, onward and upward. I only bet what I could lose and I've lost it. Heigh-ho.

I just have been banned from Michaela's anti Bitcoin-Trader facebook group, despite the announcement that nobidy will be banned. Michaela Juric-Donlan is an Australian Scammer, former stripper and prostitute using the following webpage to sell her illicit program: http://www.bitcoin-babe.com/

Go cry somewhere else. If you're going to throw about accusations that somebody is or was a stripper/prostitute you'd better provide some goddamn evidence otherwise you come off as a prat who will throw such accusations at any female who turned you down. Must be really fun to be a woman in this space. Do anything and you get labeled a whore. Such rubbish.

I don't know if she's a scammer or not but her sexual history has absolutely nothing to do with that so don't even bring it up. You've been banned? Zero fucks given, you probably earned it.

No.   The official group through out anyone who suggested it was probably a scam for quite a while...

The unofficial group has only thrown out a couple of abusive folks as far as I have heard..

I don't see anyone having been banned.

Dozens of us have been banned.  I actually left the group, voluntarily, a week before "the incident", and decided to join again to watch the show.  My join request was answered by being blocked.  I am unable to even view the non-member group "homepage".

Are you referring to the official or unofficial group?

Trying to buy and sell accounts is classic for the "Ponzi/Scam is dying" stage.  Happened on Bitcoin Savings and Trust (Pirate).  Happened with MtGox.

PexPay withdrawals still work, weird?

I believe the experience of users is that the currency manager is disabled.  So unless you paid with PexPay, there is no way to get funds into your Pexpay cash balance to make a withdrawal..

If you bought in with Pexpay your balance on your expiration would go back to Pexpay automatically and you could withdraw..

So use, it still works, but no it isn't of much use to anyone.

I don't see anyone having been banned. Are you sure you weren't being an obvious sock-puppet? Based on your post history, you reek like a shill to me, but I could be wrong.

Further, what proof do you have that she's a scammer? And if she was a stripper or prostitute (not that I think she is), what bearing exactly would that have on her business accumen? I've known both IRL (as well as a few performers from the blue biz), and several are quite successful in business. Are you familiar with the term "non-sequitur"?

It sounds more like you're trying to assassinate the character of a harsh critic of BT more than you're trying to present hard facts. Which brings me back to thinking you're a sock puppet.

I have been trying to politely hint (So as not to get banned)  to folks for months that they oughta double think the whole story --  A lot of us figured out right away that it was a ponzi - while a lot of others denied it and bought the lies..

The facebook group shows lots of people invested thousands if not tens of thousands, and they where shocked to see this happen..

When you invest in a lie, it becomes a lot easier to believe than the alternative, unfortunately..   Modern thinking is that "You can make your own truth" but in the end, the cliff is a cliff weather you believe it or not - and walking off of it has consequences weather you believe in it or not..

Hard and expensive lesson for some to learn..

If the BS wasn't deep enough,  Yesterday, while the boss was lost at sea, and everyone else was sitting around not knowing anything,  The "Generate Statement" and "View Down-line" functions of the website where miraculously disabled..

Luckily I grabbed my Statement the minute this wasn't resolved in the '48hr' timeframe.
