I could not bet on Come after Pass + Odds.

On the next roll, I bet Don't Pass + Odds, then Don't Come but it would not let me put odds on the don't come.

I also cashed out and have had about 4 blocks released since then without getting the money in my wallet. Even though you charge players BTC.001 for a fee, there is no fee included in the Tx, according to blockchain.info, so maybe that is why it's not being sent.

As long as the point is set, you should be able to bet on the Come line.  Can you make a short video or take screenshots to help us track this down?  Also, which browser are you using?

As for the fee, I'll double check that we have everything configured properly.  If you give me your player_ident I can check on your withdrawal.

OK, the txfee wasn't correctly set.  It's good now.  All transactions will include a fee of 0.001 btc.

I tried the craps, but after placing a pass line + odds bet, I could not place any additional bets. Does that sound right to you?

No, that doesn't sound right.  Which bets could you not place that you were supposed to be able to place?

Our latest game, Craps, is now live!

Today we are ready to present to you all our first public release of Craps!  We've tried very hard to make it as enjoyable to play.  And as always, it comes with the standard set of Bitcoin Video Casino features: autoplay, provably fair, a progressive jackpot, and a 99.7% EV (Even better than our other games!)

Please give us feedback on what you would like to see improved!

I have a sort of issue with this site because I feel like blackjack has an inordinately high amount of face cards flipped.

[...]

Has anybody else played enough blackjack and feels like you lose too often?

A deck rich in face cards is good for the player.  Card counters increase their bet when there are more than the average number of face cards left.  So if (and I very much doubt it) more face cards are showing up than should, I wouldn't complain about it!

Wow, no cell coverage?  Where are you?! Even Kenya and Somalia have cell coverage.  I imagine you're living out in the sticks with satellite internet:)

I'm out in the sticks in Canada.  It's a huge country, and seems to only have cell coverage in the populated areas and along the highways.  I don't have any other services either, like electricity, water, etc. so it's not just cell service I'm missing...

Quick question:

Shouldn't the non-5-credit games be the proper 250*credits_per_game?  Better yet, you could use the results from /videopoker/paytables to get the Royal Flush payouts.  But it's certainly not a 4000 payout when betting 1 credit.

Well, that variable is only used to tell 'jacks' (the C program that works out which cards to hold) what the payout for a royal flush is.  'jacks' only knows the payouts for 5 chips, and so I tell it the royal is worth 4000 chips if the progressive pot isn't available.  It doesn't need to know how many chips we're playing for.  I could tell it how many chips are being played for, and have it multiply all the payouts by that number of chips, but it seems simpler to just have it always use the same payouts.

Cool! Coming back to try it out Smiley

edit: took me a while but I see you moved the code to util.js, and since window.crypto.getRandomValues() may not be supported, you backed it up with the previous function which is necessary for compatibility. GJ guys

Can i get some input on this from other programmers?

Client seed is determined from math.random() - standard java function based on the current time
Then it is fed through mersenne twister.

On bitzino, the client seed is determined with the advanced function Window.Crypto.getRandomValues(), then that is fed through mersenne twister.

I have a sort of issue with this site because I feel like blackjack has an inordinately high amount of face cards flipped.

I read the source code and couldn't find anything I didn't like besides math.random() for the client seed (theres a lot of it).

Has anybody else played enough blackjack and feels like you lose too often?

The backend seeds the MT using a cryptographically secure random number generator out of the OpenSSL libSSL library.  Just based on that alone, there's virtually zero chance the cards are stacked against anyone (we've had huge winners on Blackjack already).  But because we want to be provably fair, we use a random number generated in the client together with the server seed, as you have seen.

That being said, we agree with you and will take your advice to switch to using the getRandomValues() crypto function.  It'll take us a day or two to implement it and test it.  We'll be rolling out higher Roulette limits soon and can include the getRandomValues() update with that.

Well, it was a lot faster than we expected.  We pushed the crypto change already, as well as the roulette limit updates.  Enjoy!

Hey! Cool.  Will you be putting the code on github/bitbucket?

Here it is:

  https://github.com/dooglus/pokereval/commits/jacks-or-better

It could use some more polish, but it works:

Cool.  The code looks good.  We'll add a link to the PokerBot in our API doc.

Quick question:

Code:
    # We only qualify for the progressive pot if we bet 5 credits
    if (credits_per_game == 5):
        progressive_jackpot = progressive_jackpot / 10000.0 + 4000
    else:
        progressive_jackpot = 4000

Is there any way to find out your deposit address using the API?  I'm not seeing it in the documentation.

Wow, I can't believe we missed this one.  The api is /account/bitcoinaddress and takes only one parameter, your account_key.  We'll add it to the doc right away!

BTW, are you an iOS or Android developer?  We'd love to see a mobile app that can play our games...Smiley

I've never used a smartphone.  There's no cell phone coverage where I live.  I played with Android in a virtual machine once, but that's the limit of my experience in that area.

I was under the impression that people could already play on smartphones, due to the "Play Video Poker from anywhere" text on your site.  Are you saying you want an app that plays optimally?  I don't know what kind of processing power the devices have, but the bot enumerates all combinations of hands to determine optimal strategy, which is quite CPU intensive.  I'm not sure a smartphone would be up to the task.

Sure, you can play our site from mobile browsers, but we are still interested in seeing a native mobile app.  The mobile app could have artwork better suited to the platform and perform much better than HTML5/JS on some phones.
