Good speculations. Liked it when you compared the percentage of both coins from historical data. They seem to be perfectly matched and rise-fall pattern is almost same for them. According to you litecoin would be good because it's cheap to buy at this point and if we get 400-500% hike in rates then we can just grab more than enough profits from this investment. Seem to be practical approach to me. Hope to see some good bucks with it. But bitcoin has to be there no doubt. Yes 6K got reached no time after your post and now 10k is about to come.

While we need to speak only real facts, Litecoin should be at bitcoin level, but now we see that it is not even the second and not the third coin in the crypt, and therefore there is nothing to compare and everything is so clear.

Agreed, i think if seen from the value the different are so far than any coin. Also Bitcoin is more popular that's why there is no coins can beat it even Litecoin though.

Lite coin what is it nobody had heard about it before it is new things and people are comparing it with the king of crypto there are no more than 100 people who know about lite coin but bitcoin is circulated all across the world you cannot just compete a new born coin with the one who started the trend of crypto on lighter note lite coins are nothing in front of bitcoin.

I think LTC works like a small brother for bitcoin. And its the first to adopt Segregated Witness(SW), which for most of us is like a test bed before actually applying it to bitcoin. I think there's the comparison surfaces. And if I'm not mistaken they also the first do the Lightning Network (LN), which might be adopted by bitcoin soon.

The explanation is simple

Altcoins go down because people who are investing in Bitcoin are also investing in altcoins. These are mostly the same folks, and when they get panicky, it is not just about Bitcoin they are dumping, they are dumping everything. But this is not to say that it is going to last forever. If big whales start massively dumping Bitcoin and moving their wealth into some other coin (say, Litecoin), it will be different. This is just a matter of time, i.e. how quick Bitcoin will turn toxic in the light of the coming split

Yup like it won't harm you having both coins.
Just in today, btc fall to $2,500 from yesterday's rate and ltc now is $43 just rose up like yesterday's rate.
The sudden dump of btc today is not so alarming as it maintain its range to $2,000.
I hope there's a pump after this.

Ltc is surely winning this if you want to double your money quickly but only issue with ltc is stability. The price of bitcoin is really strong and selling so many wouldn't affect the price but ltc is still a small alt , we can surely make better profits with it than bitcoin only in short term for long term bitcoin is the leader for now

You're right, Bitcoin already done its bit, now it's Litecoin's turn to do the catch up and which is precisely what it is about. After now, it would most likely start to mark time until Bitcoin sets the next pace. At any point in time that it becomes able stand its own ground ,that will market the beginning of its reign and chance to compete with any other coin.

Litecoin also is one promising coin in this year maybe the price of this coin is 100 dollars in the next week or maybe next months.

We don't know what will be the future price of litecoin since the price before is really high. For now its really not a good idea to invest in litecoin just my opinion and zacash or ethereum is a good choice to invest right now because the price are really increasing fast.. I have litecoin before but the problem i forgot the password login to my account my plan is to sell all my litecoin that i was collected before..

Litecoin is not yet great

But we will certainly make it great again! Right now SegWit and Lightning Network are of no use in this coin (apart from testing purposes, obviously). But if Bitcoin fails dramatically after August 1st and Bitcoin wars go from cold to hot, this is when these improvements may have their say in grabbing all the people that will be desperately trying to drop their bitcoins like hot potatoes and save their wealth
