I like Litecoin, but I think LTC has a perception issue. To the tech crowd, it is just a clone of Bitcoin with just faster confirmation speed and lower fee. To the trading crowd, BTC or other easily pump-and-dump coins will be their first choice. To the first time investors, BTC will also be their first choice.

Ether has shot up so much in the last 3 months mainly due to a bunch of ICOs creating demands for ETH.

For now, I will accumulate at below $25 (seems like there is now a mini-correction every week or so), and hopefully it will break the $30-$35 wall soon.

i think bitcoin is the best investment ever although bitcoin price is really too expensive now. beside that, i choose litecoin as the other best investment for now as i see that litecoin have a chance to be the best investment right now and litecoin itself its still cheap to buy and its worth to be good investment. right now, i am still holding litecoin and i am waiting the price is increase.
Ltc's aim is to $ 50 in timing. I bought one more ltcc at 0.0116. I've seen up to 0.0124 but currently in I would not want to sell it. I decided to keep it when it was 0.02, I would sell it. No one knows ahead of time if you know you're rich already

For now LTC is even behind ETH not talk of BTC but if you want to invest in crypto currencies it is very wise to study the trend, dont be greedy, be patient and spread your assets around those doing well. You will definitely gain more in some places than others though

Litecoin has significant increases after segwit implemented from $3-$4 to $30 but it seems stuck right there, can't break the $30 barrier. If you invest 1 btc on litecoin when it was $4, than you could get many profits and better to invest on cheaper coin if you don't have bigger budget to invest. Bitcoin has higher price and pretty hard to buy 1BTC and expected so much in the near future. But, for now I prefer bitcoin as it will gain more value in the future than litecoin obviously.
I think that Bitcoin is a much better choice because it’s been around for a while. Litecoin is a little bit too expensive right now though there is a very high chance that the price of it will go up. I am pretty sure that LTC will go up though I wouldn’t want to invest in it because I am not much of a fan of Litecoin so much.

What is Best investment in 2017 in Bitcoin or in Litecoin ?

in 2013 Bitcoin was at 1100+ USD and that Time Litecoin was at 80+ USD but than due to crypto market falls Bitcoin falls 1100+ USD to 150+ USD and Litecoin fall 80+ USD to 1+ USD means both are falls around 80% now bitcoin increased upto 500% already in compare of 2014 Price But litecoin increase 400% only so if we considered litecoin increase more 100% in 2017 than litecoin price around 60 USD and if we invest in bitcoin than it is tough to increase bitcoin price 6000 USD in 2017 so according to my suggestion litecoin is best for investment.

Please tell me your opinion what major community says.

Bitcoin price action more higher than litecoin and that's true. People interesting to use bitcoin to make profit and alternative payment grow up everyday. Litecoin is more stable but never get high volume. Buy both coins is the best way to make money but use long time period to take profit. I suggest both because we don't know the price next day, only predict. But you can buy another coin like eth and ripple for more profit ( diversification ). Buy it, wait and see next year hope you'll get more money. Good luck.
Nice suggestion. I have eth and traded my 14 LTC recently only to regret it because Lee decided to be more focus on his LTC coin. I am considering to hold some LTC again and also get some XRP which might boost its value maybe by early next year. What you all think? Will it be 1$ per XRP?

Bitcoin is very much in front of LTC in anyway, for years, LTC has been the second currency thinking about competing and taking the place of BTC but it didn't successfully do it. Even now the competitors of BTC are mainly ETH and Monero.

But now that LTC dev and founder Charlie Lee left coinbase for more focus LTC, expect more announcement and development coming our way, in other words LTC might slowly climbing the $80 and regaining what is due already.

Im just hoping litecoin acts as a decent hedge against price turbulence during august 1st, UASF, JihanCoin and all those shenanigans. Im going to wait for a couple more days and see how it performs. If it doesn't crash and the graph looks good, I will buy a decent chunk and hold thought august hoping that if BTC goes down, LTC will not get dragged down too because that would suck.

Personally I don`t have any Litecoin but I believe Litecoin may have a potential because there are some practical facts for real business  accepting litecoin
1-it is much more faster than bitcoin
2-its fee is very cheap than bitcoin ,
that may create a demand for this coin ,
For bitcoin there is nothing to add new... Cool

I also do not have this coin.
But I do not think that this coin will ever become popular. Bitcoin is likely to be a competitor to ETH. It is supported by many investors. It seems to me that even people from the government

Guys, Do you really think that someone can create a better Crypto currency than Bitcoin? In my opinion, there are so many options. Where it is possible to earn using different crypto-currencies, but what concerns Bitcoin, then this is a very stable crypto currency and its future is unshakable and very large.

As we saw in the chart of bitcoin to litecoin. The bitcoin has a good movement rather than ltc. In past month, after the bitcoin core updated the price of bitcoin has a big pump many people don't understand of it because bitcoin price is already in the high peak. Unlike litecoin, after the segwit and update of this project, the pump is only 20%. There is no cryptocurrency that break the volume coinmarketcap and price of bitcoin because I think in every enrolled alts bitcoin is affected

Forget about market crap finally

It is amount of fiat invested in a coin that counts. Regarding Bitcoin being pumped while Litecoin only moderately rising, we should rather look at how Litecoin trades when Bitcoin dumps. If it sustains Bitcoin crashes, it doesn't crash as much (i.e. its price in bitcoins rises despite all coins going down), it is a sign that people selling Bitcoin might in fact be buying Litecoin. The point is that if Bitcoin gets forked people will run from it. Most of them will likely remain in fiat (after liquidating their Bitcoin stashes) but some may in fact jump into Litecoin at the end of the day

ETH really replaced LTC on it's leading position among altcoins. I have noticed that the price of LTC is nonstop following the bitcoin price when it's growing. So, by my opinion investing in LTC will suit more to people who don't have a lot of finances to invest in BTC

I've also noticed basically the same

That's the reason why investing in Litecoin right now may be preferable than buying Bitcoin because if Bitcoin doesn't get split after August 1st, its price will surge, and Litecoin will obviously surge with it too. But if Bitcoin suffers a chain split, its price may crash dramatically, and it is a big if whether Litecoin will go down as well. Overall, Litecoin is more prone to severe price changes since its market seems to be by far smaller than that of Bitcoin, but it allows to buy the coins pretty cheap if you are willing to wait

This is quite worrying. If something bad happens to bitcoin (i.e a split), then it should negatively affect all the crypto-currencies, right? So Ether, Ripple, LTC, Doge.etc may go down against fiat. Or do you think that Ethereum prices will surge, due to its emergence as an alternative to BTC?

I don't know much about Ethereum

So I can't say anything specific in this regard, but people are saying that its price is pumped without any measure (read it may crash soon on its own). Regarding other alts, if Bitcoin crashes dramatically to 1,000 dollars per coin and below, these coins are obviously going to crash too, at least, initially (since folks will just cash out and wait with fiat in their pockets). But right now, for example, Litecoin is slowly but surely rising against Bitcoin, though both coins are going down in fiat terms

Sleeping giant is more like what LTC is now, just give it some time, people are in accumulation phase right now so price will not increase too much

For a while and when the masses start seeing it's true nature which is the silver to the gold of Bitcoin, I'm sure many will start hoarding in bulk.

There is no denying and there is no doubt about the superiority of Bitcoin and that will always remain the original cryptocurrency but LTC is also

Legit and promising, so I'd first choose Bitcoin and then LTC even mining it is much easier than Bitcoin.

I have the same thoughts with you. Ltc is in the momentum of growth with its value will increase over time. Look again, eth is a $ 8 coin but now it's $ 400
Maybe in the next time ltc can be at $ 50 for the time limit. Can not know in advance because if you know that you are already rich

it is all the money that came back to altcoin scene this year.
every year there is a same story, and this year is no different apart from being a bit bigger. if you take a look at all the other couple of hundred altcoins you can see ALL of them are being pumped with the same scheme.
open a couple of charts side by side and don't look at the price, just the lines and how they went up and then down and plateaued.

it is as if pumpers are jumping from one altcoin to another to do the same, then leave a lot of bag holders who lost money behind.
