I obviously prefer Bitcoin to paypal for several reasons: Bitcoin is limitless and with no restriction of any kind, Bitcoin is more privacy-friendly, Bitcoin is decentralized and it's safest too, because it's definitely more simple to crack an e-mail associated to a Paypal account than a Bitcoin Wallet ( even if it's online like the blockchain.info one ).

Paypal is better in just 2 things:
- Speed of transacion
- Diffusion

But we hope in the next years Bitcoin is going to become more popolar than Paypal.
Instead regarding speed of transaction, we have to say that many altcoins ( like Kore, for example )are faster than Paypal...

Bitcoin is a lot better than Paypal. The only downside is that it is not as easy to buy bitcoin as to fund my paypal account.

Paypal is easier to scam than btc.

Paypal

You can trace paypal if youre scammed, you cannot trace btc.

Well, actually anyone can trace btc as the ledger is public. But it is harder to tie an address with an identity especially if using mixing.

Bitcoin means anonymity and no worries for a chargeback.

Thats why there is more scammer..

That's why you should do your due diligence, be wary of too good to be true deals and shady businesses, and use escrows whenever possible. If you do all these, the chance of getting scammed is very low IMO.

There are scammers on Paypal as well. Plus, you could also be scammed by Paypal itself, by freezing your account with some stupid reasons.

I use them both, I couldn't really say which I prefer as they both serve their own purposes!

I have both paypal and BTC and use them frequently. Paypal transactions are faster because bitcoin transactions need times to confirm, for most of the points you don't need bitcoin anyway. Maybe having financial resources could be a valid reason. But not if bitcoin fluctuates wildly.

I would rather choose bitcoin, for reasons of flexibility, security and the smooth delivery to others, it only takes a minute to mentrasnfer of a bitcoin address to another bitcoin address ...  Grin

Both bitcoin and paypal will have a place in the future.  I can't say as much for western union   Wink

What's driving down the btc price is that more and more places are accepting btc and they need fiat to pay the bills so they have to sell.  Buy support isn't keeping up but I think this is just a transition stage for bitcoin.  The buy support will come and catch up with the selling of merchants.

While that creates some downward pressure on the bitcoin price in the short term, it help bitcoin go a step closer to mass adoption and is very important for the future development.
