Exchanges of Altcoins are always based on bitcoin and for further increase in the price of bitcoin the same goes with altcoins they will simply need each other to take down their father Bitcoin, But if an Altcoin is created with a new blockchain on hand then there might be a contender that will stand alone  with all the rest, So basically Bitcoin will still be the reigning champion until the end, This is just my assumption in the way cryptocurrency works because ETH does stand a chance in giving a deliberate all attack on bitcoin so other Altcoins will not either.

Inevitably bitcoin will lose dominance over time because of the sheer number of alt-coins that it's competing against. The fact it's remained above 50% for so long just highlights the strength of bitcoin. I also think that inevitably bitcoin will one day be replaced as the top cryptocurrency but it won't be any time soon. Like all technology, eventually new tech comes that blows the old tech out of the water.

I think it is mostly impossible for any other altcoins. It is much difficult for altcoin to replace with bitcoin. Bitcoin has great potential and good values. Still it is the king in the crypto market. I think bitcoin will be unbeatable in the future.

In theory yes it is possible in future but, practically it will be very hard for Alts to reach that price level. As Bitcoin is most paired coin in exchanges. This is the primary reason why Alts bleed when Bitcoin goes down.

In order for any ALTs to be the number one it should first become the most paired crypto in any exchange, which practically is not possible.

The way I see this whole issue about altcoins replacing bitcoin is like how people kept saying bitcoin will replace fiat. Both are well-established and it will take a long time and a very compelling reason why these two will fall and be replaced by other (crypto)currencies.

It's easy to say hey in the future, ALTs will replace the bitcoin. Lets consider this question: Who will trust any altcoin enough to invest in it billions of dollars like they arr currently doing in bitcoin market? Well this will eventually be very difficult if no one will likely to dump their billions from bitcoin to altcoin. Let's see what the future holds, in my submission, I tip bitcoin to continue it market dominance.

There is a reason why any other coin other than the bitcoin is called Alternative coins, and it means they are there simply because of the bitcoin,or used when one cant get his or her hands on the bitcoin

I don't think so. Of all the cryptocurrencies we have right now, bitcoin is actually the most accessible simply because bitcoin is the most adopted coin right now when talking about exchanges or global adoption in general. The "cant get his or her hands on the bitcoin" reasoning doesn't make sense at all.

Hello guys! As usual my habit is to check this website https://coinmarketcap.com/ for crypto market price. I saw that bitcoin still dominate in the market.

Take a look in this picture.

The Bitcoin Dominance recorded is still at 52.3%

This is why Bitcoin is the most expensive crypto in the market. But, there is one thing also that struck me and that is the growing number of crypto in the market.

It was recorded at 2093 cryptocurrencies being listed in coinmarketcap and does not include some crypto that are not listed on coinmarketcap for now. So many cryptocurrency to choose from so brace yourself on what crypto will you should consider to contribute or invest.

Bitcoin vs. Altcoins

I get this graph from coinhills (https://www.coinhills.com/statistics/volume-bitcoin-altcoin/) that shows the trend chart of Bitcoin volume strength versus Altcoins. A great number of altcoins combine will soon going to surpass bitcoin and remove its dominant in the market and probably few crypto will dominate in the altcoins group in the near future.

The question is that: Is there any possibility that dominant altcoins will take over bitcoin in the ranking in the future?
Well everything is possible but at this time and market situation i doubt that will happen soon. Bitcoin dominance is more than 50% for more than half a year this year. Still good to keep a close watch and always be aware with the market situation.

At the moment I do not actually think there is any Altcoin that can light/hold a candle to the bitcoin..

Bitcoin definitely is the king of the crptocurrency world, higher value, higher price, higher volume, more stability and was the first cryptocurrency ever created...
We can't tell what will happen in the future, but rational wise, the bitcoin will always remain king

If you add all the shitcoins to coinmarketcap then it is likely that altcoins has already surpassed bitcoin. Based on the coins that are already listed i would say it will happen due to a ripple pump

There is trouble abrewing
yeah, maybe. bitcoin being replaced by something better some day is a possibility but the reason for it is not what you said.
for example what you are posting here has nothing to do with "dominance" of bitcoin. what that number and the percentage with it shows is the fact that the cryoptocurrency market is flooded by a lot of shitcoins. if you throw a diamond in a pile of dog shit, that doesn't mean the value of that diamond goes down, and it doesn't increase the value of that dog shit. everything keeps its own value!

as for volume, bitcoin is still the dominating volume which also keeps the same level unlike altcoins which go up during their pump and dumps and then fall to nothingness afterwards.

Alt coins are increasing with time and their use are also increasing
I really don't know about that statement. There are only a very few altcoins I know that can actually be used right now. Probably 99% are still just whitepapers. About price, well, altcoins go up with bitcoin as bitcoin goes up in price. The alternatives to bitcoin are either too centralized or too unsecure. Speed and cheapness of transaction fees shouldn't be our main criteria.

Cashback 15%
A huge possibility in the future but as of now, this is really not possible. Market dominance is just a statistic of total market share in the whole cryptospace, and does not necessarily state the interest of people long-term in a particular coin. If something better proved to be worthy that can replace bitcoin, people will go there and use it for their own sake, but so far, altcoins are only good for short-term investments and most companies/institutions still choose bitcoin over any other altcoin existing in the market. It will take a lot of development and years before bitcoin can finally be dethroned--well it might not come anyway so who's waiting?

Alt coins are increasing with time and their use are also increasing this is may be the reason that bitcoin is very expensive and when some one is ready to accept altcoins then it is easy for every one to pay in that so with this the altcoins are increasing and they have good values so i believe that bitcoin is more powerful than any of altcoins but smart people uses bitcoin for every transactions and altcoin is based on giver and accepted will.

Bisq Market Day - March 20th 2023
To be candid, No altcoin will displace Bitcoin in the nearest future because these two cryptocurrency are different. We all know Bitcoin to be the mainstream manifestation of the Blockchain technology and others as alts of the former, so, the concept of Bitcoin will make it more stronger to stay at the top in dominance of the altcoins. Altcoins be created everyday doesn't mean they will dominate Bitcoin or displace Bitcoin on CMC.

In today's conditions, it is very difficult for any altcoin to replace Bitcoin. No crypto is strong enough to do that. But it's hard to guess what will happen 10 years from now. Perhaps Bitcoin is worth 100 times as it is today! There will be people who will not. 10 years ago, however, Bitcoin's value was almost zero.

Bear in mind that altcoins is not a currency, but a general term used to describe all other coins apart from bitcoin.
So the remaining 2092 coins share less than 50% of the market.

New coins come out everyday, some shitcoins and some gems.
The ever expanding market means bitcoin's dominance would reduce without direct loss of investments.

Theoretically very possible; but very unlikely in my opinion, especially in the short term. Bitcoin simply has the biggest network effect compared to all the altcoins we have right now combined. Next to Bitcoin, Ethereum, definitely can take over Bitcoin. It's going to be very difficult though, as Ethereum would need a few solid apps that's actually useful enough for the normal folks to choose the Ethereum dapp over a faster and centralized alternative.

An altcoin to replace Bitcoin as a currency though? A lot more unlikely personally. Even the next-in-line currency coin we have, litecoin, is heavily behind compared to bitcoin. I honestly don't even know what advantage litecoin has compared to bitcoin; besides the faster and cheaper txs, that would probably be irrelevant after lightning network gets widespread.
