I find that all alt coins are crap. They eventually all die away after they go threw their cycle.
Bitcoin is the only one that seems to stay.
Altcoin maybe crap in your eyes but you cannot deny the fact that altcoins help promotes bitcoin in every corner of the world. I can never learned of bitcoin if it was not for Dogecoins, and other member of this forum have the same experience like me. Another example of this is Pesobit that gives awareness about the existence of bitcoin to the OFW since PSB is promoted together with bitcoins.
I think even without mentioning to people what bitcoin is, simply promoting a cryptocurrency will lead to them finding out what bitcoin is and becoming interested to it. I think of the altcoins as a train that you can ride and those people that went in first can get their profit quickly while those people that have been riding the train for a long time will get a lot of profit. But the best ones do not wait for a long time but only wait for the best time to get out of the train. The train is also doomed to crash any time, by the way. So the guy was right, this is basically the cycle of an altcoin's life.
On the other hand, I really do think that riding that train and taking the risk that it can crash without any warnings is much better than just standing in the train station while judging or complaining how the train crash eventually.
TL;DR: Better to invest in an altcoin and take the risk than do nothing. Investing in altcoin is like riding a train that can crash anytime so you better get out of it when you think the time is right. In other words, sell your altcoin when you think the price is high enough.
