Market depth @MtGox is frozen like shown below for a couple of days. It does not show actual data.

Why does your 10m look different than my 10m ?

Looks like Bitcoinity has adapted to the new Mt. Gox API and the price lines are back.  Thanks for that Comboy!

The depth charts are still highly messed up for Mt. Gox.  I'm surmising that they need to be 're-based' or something.

I do find the data for Tradehill to be seemingly, and surprisingly, quite accurate (and very helpful in deciding various trading actions.)

Yesterday the price lines for Tradehill, then for Mt. Gox disappeared.  Not to long afterwards, the lines came back for Tradehill, but have not done so for Mt. Gox, and the price there shows $0.000.

The depth charts seem unaffected, and the tape (trade values on the right) seems to be working.

I suspect a Bitcoinity problem rather than a feed problem since both Tradehill and Mt. Gox are/where acting up.

It sure would be cool if the problems were fixed up or explained.  I use Bitcoinity enough to contribute to the beer fund from time to time so I don't mind asking.

I use bitcoinity.org most since I am used to it and find it superior to other such solutions that I know of.  Unfortunately this morning I find:

===========
Internal Server Error

No space left on device - /home/btc/app/log/production.log
WEBrick/1.3.1 (Ruby/1.8.7/2011-02-18) at bitcoinity.org:80

Fixed within a few hours it looked like.

The brief down-time reminded me that I had not yet contributed to the whiskey fund.  I just rectified that.

Love the site, looks great on my small usb monitor as a dedicated charts screen Smiley

Just one suggestion, it currently refreshes every 0.1 seconds or there abouts, this consumes around 1-2KBs of data, while not much it can add up over the day.  Would be great to have a option in the preferences to make it refresh every 5 or 10 seconds for example.

Cheers

I'm puzzled by the red and green depth bars and my search returned unsatisfactory answers.

"About these bars going up and down (if there are any at the moment). They show market depth changes over the last 10 minutes. The value axis for them is on the right BTC. Bars on the left of the current price are bid offer changes, and on the right ask offer changes. So if somebody is adding a bid offer, you will see a green bar on the left. About colors: if bids are added they are in green, and when removed they are in red. For asks it's the opposite. That's because when somebody is adding an ask, it makes it harder for the price to go up. If somebody is removing an ask it's easier for it to go down."

Suppose ten minutes ago there were a total of $100 at the $1 bid. Now there are $50 at $1, so I would expect to see a red bar, I think. Is that above or below the 0? If it's now $150 it should turn green, above or below? Sometimes I see a bar with both green and red, what is that telling me - one change 5 minutes ago and another now? "For asks it's the opposite" - only the colors would be reversed?

Generally, I see green above 0 and red below in the bids, and green below 0 and red above in the asks, but... no, me no understandy.

Oh, I almost forgot about the coin I promised for the preferences. *pays 50% interest* Tongue

Being able to set the limits on logscale would still be useful though. And there's still a 0 in the center, which isn't valid on logscale. Huh

hi combay,

really love your page; but i am a little bit confused.

if you keep it running and then do a page refresh: the graph and even the current price does change...

how is this possible? (current price could be, there is no big diff); but why is the graph is changing?
