Interested in the picture.  When Pirate defaults will u tell me which one?

this is in it's final week or 2.

the mess will be fun to watch, it's like a train wreck in slow motion / can't look away but at same time feel bad for those in the wreck.

Duality of man sir.

Sure, I'll tell you if it explodes.  But my point is that some of us have actually done our due diligence and know his full name, where he lives, what he looks like, and I even know is birthdate.  It's just annoying that the FUD is creeping into every thread.

ty I can wait a week or 2

seems like a little bit of panic this week on the part of Pirate... no doubt this is very close to the tipping point.

The question facing Pirate (Bitcoinmax can't really do anything but beg some anonymous guy named pirate to plz pay him each week) each week is:

Will this week's interest payment be < this week's new investments

it's getting extremely close to when it's -EV to keep running.

next week should be fun.  What time is it promised by again?  I want to get my popcorn ready.
I find it funny that you guys are "trying to warn people" but think it will be funny when they lose everything.

They believe we're retards blinded by greed.  Too bad they're assholes blinded by jealousy.

Please take your FUD to one of the other 10 threads for tinfoil hats.

Oh, and here's a picture of the nonanonymous pirate in Vegas with several other bitcoiners:

I know which one he is... do you?

For estimating the paper balance, it's not important whether a payment was labeled "interest" or "withdrawal", they're one and the same in effect.

well, of course it's important, eg. let's say you see 100 btc transaction and let's say the rate is 5% to make calculating easy:

you assume it's all interest -> balance must be 100 / 0.05 = 2000
you assume it's half interest and half withdrawal -> balance must be 50 / 0.05 - 50 = 950
perhaps in reality it's 10 btc in interest, together with a 90 btc withdrawal -> balance must be 10 / 0.05 - 90 = 110

so balance could be estimated at anywhere from 110 to 2000 under those circumstances <- good luck with that.

i already explained that in another thread where i mentioned withdrawals and interest are sent to me together, not separately. perhaps this is why it's best to ignore your posts, because replying to you doesn't seem to make a difference anyway.

So to re-affirm my initial assessment, payouts from BTCST includes interest and normal withdrawal requests. Vandroyi you just have to start accepting that your detective work is in a muddy pool. Wink

I am aware and never said it isn't. That exact point has been discussed in another thread. But statistically, it is not that bad. It seems there is another outstanding withdrawal, so I guess that's what was missing. Smiley

Seeing coins move out for a change is what it's all about. The main reason for worry is that, from what's visible, the debt has been ever-increasing. Not just that, it has also been growing much faster than risk management of investors should allow.

For estimating the paper balance, it's not important whether a payment was labeled "interest" or "withdrawal", they're one and the same in effect.

I expect they agreed to do the reinvestment off-blockchain this week.

there was absolutely no re-investment (probably because of the panic that the delay caused), in fact, i still need to request more from pirate to cover the 1 remaining (large) withdrawal request i've got outstanding.

Actually, at least for me, it just happens to be the time of the month for paying bills.

Shortly after interest payments stop seems to be slightly too late to be panicking.  Either the scheme has just defaulted, in which case your withdrawal won't go through, or it hasn't, and there was no (more than normal) reason to panic.

not being sarcastic, that's perfect logic.

unfortunately panic and logic don't always go together very well.
I'd be interested to know how many withdraws were then re-deposited  Smiley
