From recent news in India it is heard that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..I know its a currency and it is also used as a normal money... but these can create a bad space in people's mind that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..so they will not use bitcoins... Yeah, it's not new in our world. other people used bitcoin to scam somebody withou any hesitation. As long as they are earning from the money of other they don't care. So dont be shock in our world.

All kinds of currecies could be use in illegal activities, not only for drugs it can be use in smuggling, guns, explosives and even in scam investment too but the good thing is that we could regulate the use of digital currencies especially the bitcoin. bitcoin is actually a bitcoin free payment tool to do anything but it is very sad if bitcoin we use for actions that are not good such as money laundering and blackmail money will make bad bitcoin.
it is a human error instead of bitcoin, if any group or person uses their bitcoin as a tool of forbidden transactions, of course it needs further action, because it could damage the name of the bitcoin itself, and it impacts us miners, bounty workers, or bitcoin investors

I've heard some news too , people selling drugs to internet what so called , or what they called the black market where you can access to tons of drugs in some lower price , but wait there's more not just drugs but illegal guns. The most famous crime or news is the what so called the silkcoin , it's the same and can buy drugs and tons of guns. By this illegal sites bitcoin becoming ugly , by this illegal activity it creating a bad image through bitcoin industry and yes it's the one of the disadvantage of bitcoin.
