well, I think some criminal can use it.
but they have to take into attention that all the moves, transfers and etc - are stored in blockchain forever
not sure this the thing they want)
but I'm sure they can use TOR based coins, like ZEC or DeepOnion

yes, this is what every country is concerned about when legalizing bitcoin, and it will add new tasks to the government, I think that if this bitcoin is legalized it will be much more criminal. such as money laundering, and financing of terrorism.
but it can be prevented by government preventive measures.
So is cash. The money in different Governments allow people to purchase things with their currencies.

if bitcoin is really being used for illegal activities then you must be very happy because that proves that bitcoin has succeeded in becoming a currency and also becoming popular enough that everyone uses it.
as you know bitcoin is a currency (at least supposed to be) and just like any other currency like USD it is being used by many different people for many different purposes, many of which may be illicit.

although i am a little skeptical about it being used to buy drugs because drug addicts and drug sellers are not really tech savvy and they are not using computers exactly. and not to mention the fact that everyone knows bitcoin is traceable. and at the same time ANON coins like Monero exist out there which are really being used for buying drugs and nobody can trace them!
I liked that part about different purposes, I'm using Bitcoin for different purposes as well, like when I'm trying to use it to buy a house purely for jumping purposes. you really believe that drug users are not able to use Bitcoin? the only difference is that we become a failure after people ignore us when we decide to "dev" a coin, a.k.a activity tokens.
*Governments kill to print cash, you are using a blood money, now you come here talk about drug use with Bitcoin?

*Nothing personal Pooya, I was talking with OP. hang overly loling.

This news is true. But I think, Bitcoin was not created for illegal activities. Rather, many people use Bitcoin in illegal activities. There is no blame on Bitcoin. Because the use of bitcoin depends on man. Bitcoin is not bad. Some bad people use Bitcoin badly.

From recent news in India it is heard that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..I know its a currency and it is also used as a normal money... but these can create a bad space in people's mind that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..so they will not use bitcoins... Conclusion is that BTC is also a currency which is having a high value in the market..and bitcoins must not be used in these illegal activity which can reduce its usage and value.

Bitcoin has been used in many illegal activities and once the currency for silk road. But that does not diminish its value as a currency. It is the same as your dollar or any fiat. It can be used in both legal and illegal activities but it is not the fault of bitcoin. It is within the user's responsibility which ever activity he wants to use the currency, whether it is bitcoin or regular fiat.

We can not say  bitcoin for  illegal  activity because some bad person are using in wrong  activities. It is quite difficult to find the bitcoin trader. It is the peoples fault.Bitcoin is the king of cirrency. It gives to earn money.I belive that bitcoin was not made for that.

the biggest advantage, and the only one everybody agrees on, is that bitcoin is decentralised and so extremely resistant to censorship. That has made it a haven for activities from cybercrime and drug trading to enabling international payments to closed economies and supporting radically off-grid living.
No one can track you back so you are free to do whatever you want to do. People are using this statement and they are making illegal money. They have reputed bitcoins so badly that now, many people are not considering it for their investment. All the undercover drugs, and weapons are dealing in bitcoins. No one knows who did the transactions and where it has been done.

may not be a problem with Bitcoin but human beings involved. There are also cases where people buy and sell drugs or engage in illegal activities using fiat and that's just people people do not understand..

I guess yes. Bitcoin can even used for illegal purchases, because the transactions are anonymous and untraceable. However it really depends on the bitcoin user. And truthfully, all currency are subject to illegal activity.

But, actually we have to understand that bitcoin transaction is recorded, it can help the law enforcement to do their job. Bitcoin is unlike paper money which most of its transactions are not recorded, actually use paper money is more apropriated for illegal activities.

Well, it is not the problem with Bitcoin but the human involved. There are also cases whereby people buy and sell drugs or involve in any illegal activities using fiat.

ya absolutely agreed , its not the problem of currency , its issue related to people, all the terrorism ,drugs mafia support , trafficking all happens in fiat, they don't use digital currency that much so they can't get thought and if they use it belong to rich person who cannot be doubted because of him/her already having that much amount of money.
illegal deeds depend upon human morals and a non living thing whether bitcoin or fiat is not be blamed for it.

I get a reading if in different countries bitcoin is used for acts of corruption and bribery. it is very illegal and very harmful because if doing for illegal actions such as corruption will be difficult to track and harm many parties. besides that there is also an issue if bitcoin is used for financing terrorism is unlawful.

For the record, I can vouch for the fact that hardly anyone uses BTC in India for dealing in drugs even now when prices are so high, let alone before. Fiat is used for dealing in all big cities, forget the towns and villages. I am talking about the drug scene on the streets mind you, not online or darknet, from.. umm.. personal experience.

People use bitcoin for many different reasons, wether for good purpose or for bad ones, for all we know is that it does not affect the price in a direct way, because for whatever reason you use your bitcoin I can't know, we are unable to track whether the bitcoin you send is sent to a drug dealer or to charity, that is what is considered pravicy, the only way I could see this really affecting the price is the actions of governments, who are unable to control it and as a result they ban it and forbid people from exchanging it which can resault in investors abandoning it and thus killing it price and development.

Bitcoin have been used in different kinds of illegal activities and yes, it involved illegal drugs. But I want to stress out that being used as mode of payment for illegal activities does not mean that the usage and value will be reduced. As we know, fiat currencies were used in illegal trades before any other types of currency was developed (such as btc). But I don't see dollars, euro, etc. reduced its value just because it was used as payment to buy drugs. We cannot control how people use BTC the same way we cannot control how cash are being used. It's upon us to decide how are we gonna spend our money and/or btc.

I think there's been a lot of rumors involving bitcoin. yes we agree it will make a negative value on crypto. but I think, in fact it is very difficult to prevent it. because in the field of any crime and illegal activity is always there and happen.

Ideally bitcoin should not be used for illegal activity but because of the anonymity of the accounts, it is not easy to track transaction with syndicate activities. Cryptocurrency is currently used as payments to complete the cycle of dirty transactions all over the world though the activity is not much widely used but increasing. However, there are already a cyber police that are working on it and suing the offenders.

Any currency can be used for illegal activities and yes bitcoin is no exception. Not just as a means to buy drugs, there are also talks that it is being used to finance terrorists and payments for firearms and ammos.
