yes the government still has not found the right preventive measures to overcome it.
They will never find it. Governments just want to defame Bitcoin by stating that it is being used for criminal purposes, while they are well aware of the fact that their fiat currencies are more than anything being used for that.

Even in the case of fiat being used by criminals the most, we can't blame fiat for that. Fiat and Bitcoin are nothing more than tools that people can use or abuse in their preferred way.

I personally don't care about how people use Bitcoin. If they want to buy drugs, so be it. If they want to buy weapons, again so be it. Everyone here should mind its own business, and not focus on how others use Bitcoin.

This is not the first time we heard this kind of things, most of the time media covers the news that Bitcoin being used for money laundry, for supporting terrorist and other bad thing, but most of them failed to notice that Bitcoin is only a medium, it's only a currency, how people used it, it's not related to Bitcoin at all, we should remind everyone to used and promote Bitcoin for positive things and media need to cover more positive side of Bitcoin

Well, it is not the problem with Bitcoin but the human involved. There are also cases whereby people buy and sell drugs or involve in any illegal activities using fiat.

Bitcoin is simply a medium where one may use for illegal activities. It’s all up to the user as to how they would utilize it.

yes, this is what every country is concerned about when legalizing bitcoin, and it will add new tasks to the government, I think that if this bitcoin is legalized it will be much more criminal. such as money laundering, and financing of terrorism.
but it can be prevented by government preventive measures.
yes the government still has not found the right preventive measures to overcome it. then there are still many governments that have not legalized bitcoin.

Anything as anonymous and secure as bitcoin is going to be used for this kind of thing. To make it impossible to be used for illegal transactions such as drug deals, many of the advantages of bitcoin would have to go away too. If the criminals didn't have access to bitcoin, they would just use something else anyway.

I agree that Bitcoin remains attractive to criminal activity, but its shady uses are truly outweighed by legitimate ones as of this time. I just hope that this downside can be tackled as we can't just allow terrorists getting conveniently funded.

From recent news in India it is heard that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..I know its a currency and it is also used as a normal money... but these can create a bad space in people's mind that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..so they will not use bitcoins... Conclusion is that BTC is also a currency which is having a high value in the market..and bitcoins must not be used in these illegal activity which can reduce its usage and value.

people with a criminal mind all kind of strategy used of them, either cash money or bitcoin if the criminals want use it for illigal activities nobody can stop them, specially bitcoin use of the bad element is because is easy to use for faster transaction using internet connection. criminal can use normal money for bank to bank transactions for their illigal activity almost same situation bitcoin and normal money so nothing impossinle to the criminal minded.

and i read this topic when i'm start joining here in forum.

I think this topic has already been widely discussed, and it is well known that the main source of resources for illegal activities around the world is fiat money, however the governments of many countries seem very interested in blaming the bitcoin for everything bad that happens in their countries as a pretext to ban it given the frank threat it means for the fiat economic system that prevails in most countries.

Ok so what's the problem? First of all we have to decide whether drugs are a bad thing. You have to realize that what in one country is considered a drug can be legally purchased and used in another. Also, some drugs are legal everywhere like caffeine, which is a stimulant much like ephedrine (a common medical ingredient used in treating nasal congestion and low pressure) and amphetamine, which for some reason is illegal.
Whether drugs are good or bad is really a matter of opinion and so is selling them for BTC. IS it bad in any way? IMO no. Is it bad for BTC? Why would it be when all fiat currencies in the world are being used to trade drugs too?

This is the initial impression of people who have bitcoin for the first time, it is being used by criminals underground. Its an exploit that those bad guys found on bitcoin and they simply take advantage of it. But if they think that using bitcoin can hide them, they are all wrong. Bitcoin is not anonymous. Everyone can be followed in blockchain.

I agree however, its really inevitable, but don't take bitcoin in bad light because it was not plan to be used by criminals. It was designed by Satoshi as P2P and as micro payment.

But we can't stop criminals taking advantage, that's how they'd be, crooks who uses their God given talents to stole and abuse every system that they can found. And its sad that they given bitcoin a bad reputation.

Thanks to bitcoin being anonymous they have successfully done it before.
But with more technology now there is not much privacy anymore.
Somehow you could be traced or they will use other people for you to get caught.
Yes it should have been a currency but not yet for now.
It became more like an asset so I guess we will just have to wait more.

Bitcoin is not used for unpaid work. But some people might do so to make their interests look good. For example, not everyone plays well on a sports team. Between them, maybe two of them are playing bad. So it is not that he does not win a team match.

Actually, there is no restrictions implemented by the used of bitcoin either for legal or illegal activities. For a massive acceptance and used of bitcoin, no wonder that it will involve for some illegal activities. Because people will take advantage on this as it only a way to hide their real identity in the public and it could make hard to trace that this transactions is for illegal activities.

I think it's not a problem, because people already know not only bitcoin can be used for illegal activity, and this will not affect people's thinking about bitcoin, because most of the people who are attracted to bitcoin tend think about the benefits not they are used for what

thats some great bias in your statement there. another classic of the forum. you know what else is used for illegal activities? just about every currency in circulation in the world today, precious metals and gems, computers, you name it. it's probably been used for some sort of crime in one way or another. its not as if bitcoin is the sole object of value used in illegal transactions, people can just hand each other a suitcase full of bills, diamonds, gold, whatever.

Well, it is not the problem with Bitcoin but the human involved. There are also cases whereby people buy and sell drugs or involve in any illegal activities using fiat.
exactly. as long it holds value to someone, it can be one of the objects in a trade, be it illegal or not.
