I find it weird that I probably am the only one checking Who is online feature every once in a while  Tongue

What's the point of checking that out anyway? There's not much info in there xD

I heard a mod (not saying who, find out yourself, I don't want to get in trouble) say there was a hidden mod/admin dox thread, that has volunteered and other information on some admins and mods.
Never heard of such a thing and I've been staff for a while now.
Salty had said there is such a thread however he was not able to produce a link to such thread and the existence of which was all but disproven.

What's going on with people like this?

IMO they're either trying to cover the seclog page with spam, or they're trying to hide some evidence of their wrongdoings.

They might have hacked someone's account then didn't want people to know, so they decide to flood the place with spam.

Mmm I see, interesting, it seems the log has a limit so if they do this a bunch of time they can push out the oldest entries at least for the public, because im sure that mods can still see it. I don't think that's done to just annoy people since no one checks those pages.

Whoa!  Those pages are very interesting.  I was looking to see if KeyserSoze got banned, but I didn't see his name in there.  Very cool, thanks for posting.
you cannot see the temporary bans anywhere ,only perma/auto bans can be seen in modlogs mostly done by moderators.

No I dont escrow anymore.
Topics started by user id (have to add it to the URL by hand):

I made a very rough tool for this:
https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=311162

You can also add more filters:

I found this while spying around some user's topic list.
board filter -> https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=35&board=24.0

I have never heard of Patroller before

 -snip-

So that means , Moderators are patrollers outside of their Section?
Or is it something else , can i get a profile link to a patroller ?

There is no "Patroller" name, only staff. If a moderator is outside the section he/she is moderating, their position will be "Staff". Mitchell is a patroller outside Dutch board. hilariousandco was a patroller and was promoted.

Sooner or later, a man who wears two faces forgets
-snip-
I got a query , i see "Nuke user: N/A in topic #0 by member #509593"
What does Nuke means here? Banned ? Undecided

"Nuke" is something staff (esp. lower ranks) can do to newbies. It silently removes all their posts and bans the account. Its typically used to fight spambots.

That sounds really awesome , i have seen many newbie's making useless posts , so they must be spambots. How does a mod get's to know about it? Will it be good if i report them ?
Just one more question, You said staff (esp. lower ranks) , as i know there are two types of staff #1 Administrator and #2 Global moderator , so except Badbear and Theymos , everyone else is lower ranks staff or are there any more staff ranks ?

Mod knows by looking their posts. Their posts most probably will be rephrased. If you think a newbie is spambot, report it and it will be nuked.

Types of staff(according to their power/position):

 • Admin
 • Global Moderator
 • Moderator
 • Patroller

Thank you Smiley
I have never heard of Patroller before

Heh, you could add founder to the list of staff ranks. I have no idea what powers Satoshi's account has, I'd say probably adminstrator priviledges, but I'd imagine that has been changed years ago, since administrator accounts aren't left unattended for long. So I suppose it would be more apt to say Satoshi would have admin powers if they come back.

Admins: can do everything imaginable on the site. They however can't delete their accounts.

Global Moderators: can perma ban, nuke newbies, see and handle reports from all sections, and see reported PMs.

Moderators: can see and handle reports from their sections and nuke newbies

Patrollers: Are essentially Moderators but can only do moderator tasks for newbie members.

None of the links in OP is hidden with that logic. The only hidden page to normal members is Staff Forum.

And the Donator/VIP section and Trashcan.

So that means , Moderators are patrollers outside of their Section?
Or is it something else , can i get a profile link to a patroller ?
