There is two Bitcointalk coin  Grin  BTALK and BTT But its only for fun.
Disclaim: Bitcointalk Token was created for fun and not affiliated with Bitcointalk Forum.

However I think topic has discussed previously. I don't think Bitcointalk should create new coin. Its is already base on bitcoin so there is no question about new coin. If create in case, it will be shitcoin because this is Bitcoin community. This forum was build for spread the word about bitcoin. But in future I don't know if someone make fork from bitcoin by using Bitcointalk ticker. But for fork there should be miner community and should be allow by admin.

IMO, no. Unless a blockchain would solve a problem. I think a lot of business created their own crypto for no reason other than to make one. The database will handle merit better. Also, we wouldn't want to create a secondary market for it. Also, these coins are the "sh%t coins" we should shun as a community. This pretty much sums up my views:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7kaoqb/i_am_having_a_hard_time_understanding_why_nearly/

Oddly enough, when researching useless coins I found very little info. Most of the info is on ICO evaluations and ICO related topics. Most likely, this is due to the fact that that is where the money is in 2017. People generating large funding for ideas with lots of keywords and promises.

Well it could be possible for bitcontalk.org to have coin. The utility of the coin could be integrated to escrowing services for the better service to be arranged in the market place. This is just my opininion because I do not like some of the escrow service of some users who provided it because some of them are scam so we have to secure the transactions using bitcointalk.org coin as an escrow service provider.

The only useful function I can think of would be some sort of escrow coin, or asset deposit. However, that functin can just as easily be performed by trusted members.

Good news is BitcoinTalkCoinTalk.org is available!

The bad news is that Bitcointalkcoin(.)org is taken and the com was also registered for a brief period.
Was there some ICO with that domain involved?  Angry

I guess I don't see much of a problem with adding just 1more shitcoin to pile.

So....you think that all the bright minds here on this forum wouldn't be capable of creating anything else than a shitcoin?  Cheesy

C'mon guys and girls, you don't know that BitcoinTalk already has a coin? There's an ICO too. theymos himself has posted [ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT

Joke aside what iasenko has written here is the best answer, really...

You know I would probably support something like a BitcoinTalk token...

I mean, everything else in this world has a coin... Animals, Dentists, illegal-migrants...
Even make believe shit has a token! - leprechaun coin, Dragon coin, ect…

I guess I don't see much of a problem with adding just 1more shitcoin to pile.

Though, it should probably be over-the-top with cool features -  like a mining, staking, masternode extravaganza

What's wrong with the merit (coin)?

- It's free (if you are smart enough)
- It's decentralized ( except that it's controlled by theymos but and he can reverse transactions )
- It's PoW, you have to post quality stuff to get be rewarded and you are constantly monitored by the others in the pool if you try to cheat.
- You can sent to everyone (following the specific protocol )
- There was an Airdrop in the begging but some people have missed it.
- You can actually trade it (it's not recommend as you may got tagged, but it's possible) for real money Cheesy

Why you need another coin??

Well the @theymos has experience endorsing “ICOs” (see [ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT), and by reading the thread it looks like there would be no shortage of demand by a Bitcointalk endorsed and also developed coin … it wouldn’t even need a purpose (although on a serious note, there would be none that I can think of) …

Hi Bad do you know which one? never seen a project like bitcointalkcoin, it would be nice to have one project made by all bitcointalk moderators!

I've been playing with the concept for some time, but have never really been serious about any coins. Jet Cash (JetCash.com) has been a private payment service of mine since 2002, but it has never had a coin associated with it. I'm just putting together Assured Coin , but that is not intended to be a general use coin, but will be used to trade shares in my Crypto Coin Tree investment club project. This is still in it's formative stages.

As I stated earlier, I believe that a new coin has to have a defined purpose, and registering shareholdings is certainly a suitable purpose.

What do you think guys ? should  bitcointalk make their own bitcointalk coin? would it be possibile? and give it for all member ? thanks for all your answer!

What would be the reason for it's existence? Is it to improve upon the merit system?

Because people always want something for free.

I think that if bitcointalk draws its own currency, it would be a mega project, with great success, it has a large number of users who will surely be part of the project. Without hesitation if he would buy the coins.

Ok. I got curious. I thought somebody would actually mention the name if there was one.

Even if they probably did I talk about an official coin sponsored by all the moderators of bitcointalk, I think it would be a great success anyway.
