Odds look a bit off, shipdachips should be -100 and the rest +500 or worse.

I also wish all finalists good luck and I am curious to see who wins the game. My secret favorite is ceehe, but he has strong competition with Obaming, SyGambler, shipdachips and the other participants.

The time for our first Final has come - I hope you guys are well prepared!

Not sure I will be available all evening to watch the action, real life starting to get some traction again. I will make sure to pay the winners by the end of the day for sure though - after all, you deserve nothing less than that.

Long story short, Efi started a bitcointalk tournament, after 4-5 tournaments, Efi and Yahoo created bitcointalk championship series! 8 games, for every game first 10 get points (you can check the spreadsheet) and for the first 9 there is a final game, Efi later added runner-up game for the ones who didn't qualify for finals.
So we finished with 8 games and this weekend we have two games, Saturday is championship final and Sunday runner-up game! Efi already announced second bitcointalk championship series, he also said he will give more details after this weekend games!

You are free to watch the final game tonight, starting in less than 7h. If you don't have SwC account make it, you will need it anyway for the next series, Efi said we will play there again! If you watch you will be able to see how we play, and believe me every tournament until now was great! There are some friends who started playing poker recently, but there are top players with amazing poker skills that play poker for years! In the end it's poker, we play with cards we get and sometimes experience is not so important as luck!

I don't believe there are any Bitcointalk poker tournaments you can join this weekend. There is the Series Championship - and the Series consolation tournament. If you didn't play in any series games the last 4 weeks you won't be able to get the password.

Sportsbet.io does host a freeroll every Wednesday for forum members, and there will be more tournaments on SWC starting next week I think maybe the weekend after for another series and maybe some standalone tournaments as well.

Can somebody please help me to understand correctly everything about this tournament?

I want to start to play Bitcointalk games in the SwC poker room, but I am confused a little because I see two threads, and there where already many games played to date.
I think this final is already full and scheduled this weekend, do I have any chance to join, am I right that I am already too late? Will there be a new edition?

Which games can I play this weekend? What is with this other: Bitcointalk Poker Nights Discussion Thread (private games for btctalk members)? Where are links to these games?
I have read both opening posts and few first and last pages of both threads, but can't figure out where to play, when and for how much?

A few weeks ago I got PM from somebody, with an invitation to these tournaments, but exactly then, I was busy.
Now the situation changed and I have a lot of time in the weekends, a great opportunity to play poker with fellow Bitcointalkers   .

Honestly earning the fee usually does work out if you have enough money and enough patience. It is actually a liable strategy by the big players as well, they usually end up playing at lower tables first to both get it going and be warmer to game and get used it, get their engines going, and since it is a lower table they are usually better players anyway so they end up with some money that would help them register for a tournament or something. That means at the end they give a small break and go back to playing on the tourney as well, and it becomes free for them in a way.

I remember many from "the company" did those kinds of stuff all the time. Of course you have to make sure that you are definitely better at those lower tables and also even with that sometimes you get unlucky, so you gotta have a deep pocket to recover as well.
