Temporary forum vacation
I am a bit confused for the timing,,, in OP it says 6pm UTC. Could us Asians ask for a separate timezone to be played alternatively? I believe every other week a good Asian slot, a good Europe slot, a good USA slot. For me 6pm UTC is impossible since this is 2am Beijing/Singapore/Malaysia/rest of Southeast Asia time. Maybe there are not Asians in the forum but every dice site and poker place I see there is always Singaporean, Malaysian, Philippino and Indonesian,,,

I see 2pm slot which is considerable but this is 10pm Sunday, so we all have to get up for work on Monday, and we know poker lasts a long time:)

We will play some good poker! Smiley
Everything sounds great! Good organization, I didn't doubt that Yahoo and Efi will pull this off, thank you guys for awesome organization!
I'm in, and I will try to play as many games as I can. Can we expect to play first tournament this Saturday?

Hi Guys and Gals.

If you were to set up a game on PokerTH.net I'd be interested in joining.  I'm trying to limit the number of sites that I sign up for that I use infrequently, otherwise I'd sign up for yet another poker site.

First time I hear about PokerTH! I think that you don't know what you are missing here. There aren't many people in this, but I can tell you that most of us are poker players for years. It's something you can notice when you sit and play with some guys from here, experienced players no doubt, you need to be focused and give your best every hand.

You will not sign up for yet another poker site! You will register to play with us, to have great time playing good poker, and as you can see we will have series now, so we will play two games every week and people with enough points will play final monthly table!

Yes, the first tournament is on Saturday and the second on Sunday! Smiley

Very well said bud - nothing to add. Smiley I think this is gonna be lots of fun and the beginning of something big.  Cool

Correct 200 chips per game will be sent to youcantwin. All of that goes to the Championship game +50k. If we average 15 players per tourney we would be looking at .074 btc for the final game. The more players the higher the prize pool.

Another thing, if we can average more players we may be able to get more sponsored money then .05. This is all up to the community to get the word out and get entrants.
As far as I know we got more players then on Sportsbet rather than on SwC on the past games but for 4 tourneys held there we slowly see the growth of registrants and I think we can get that a minimum. But that isn't mandatory to have 15 players every tourney, am I right? Since we have 2 tourneys per week people might lose the edge to play consecutively just my negative thought but we'll see that.

The 15 players arent mandatory - what yahoo means is simply the more the better. Smiley

+1

Finally a poker tournament that have a good timezone for asian ppl 2pm GMT/UTC.

So the password will be send after i send the extra chip to youcantwin, on swcpoker site or bitcointalk acc?

The password will be sent out here on bitcointalk.

SwC have just set up the first two tournaments and they are available in the lobby!

So the 200 buy-in will always be sent to youcantwin (efialtis) per game on SwC? The time has been adjusted to 2pm I think it will be more favorable on my end more rather than the past tourneys held on 6pm and 4pm. Thanks for setting this up @shipdachips.
You all should thank efialtis for setting up the tourney and getting it sponsored. I had the initial idea of the series and how it could be ran, but he got the added prize pool money for everyone who can qualify.

Great work putting this together. Super awesome of SWC to put up a nice addition for the championship game.

I am very likely down for this. Mostly because this one potentially hits my schedule almost perfectly for what I expect the qualifiers to be. My only concern would be the date of the championship, for any series I play in. Not that I assume I will make it or that I expect any adjustments solely for me.

It's a 50/50 for whether I work on a weekend. Would the championships be held on the same Sunday as the last qualifier in the series? Or on one of the following weekends?

If it's a following weekend I would personally love to see it be the 9th or 10th of May as I work dayshifts the 2nd and 3rd.

I was thinking of making the Championship the following sunday but there would still be a game running  for the series at the same time.

Would be game 2 of 2nd series possibly.

If there are more then 1 series to be ran it will depend on the results of the 1st series.

Second one will be on Sunday 5/4. We are as excited as you guys are and hope this will grow into something bigger and bigger. Smiley

I will add all the other games to the schedule by the end of the day, but yes the 2nd game would be sunday the 5th of april. SwC isn't gonna keep adding to the prize pool if we don't get a decent amount of players each week, so would be great to see 15+ in each game.

Thanks for the clarification guys! Hopefully we will get 15+ players for each game. I will be there as long as it fits to my time schedule!

Great idea. Hopefully I'll be able to participate. Sounds like a bit too much of drain on my time if I got things right.

So the format is that we have a game on Saturday & Sunday every week? That sounds a bit too much for me. I would prefer if we kept it at one game per week on Sunday like we had until now.

Or if it has to be two games per week can we maybe add a rule for 6 best results to count for championship points? That way if somebody mises a game or two he isn't penalized that much and the guys who play every game still have some advantage.

All other "rules" sound great to me.
It's a points series man, you could miss a game and still have a shot at making the Championship game if you did ok in the others. We wanted to run 2 games a week to get a series in each month.

Poker is getting a lot attention on Bitcointalk lately, I really like that. Let's see if I can make it on Saturdays, but this series sounds really interesting. That SwC added 50 mBTC is huge, thank you for that.

There will be 8 games per series. 1 ran on Saturday, 1 ran on Sunday each week. The goal is to get as many points as possible to qualify for the championship game. The points structure is as follows:

So that means that the second game is on Sunday 5/4/2020 or the week after on Sunday 12/4/2020?

Thanks @yahoo62278 and @efialtis for setting this up! I am excited!
