Lol, whenever I see dudes like this who are WAAAAY above what their competition is gambling, I feel like that has nothing to do with competition and they were just gambling at the right time. Think about it, if it was purely just the competition they were interested in, they would have wagered just 0.1 more than the second person and they would have been ahead, if anyone passes them that would mean they can come back and pass them again, they could have done this until the current high amount they have instead of going for that right away from the start.

This means they are not after the competition, they don't care, they were just gambling boat loads and were having fun and that just happily were at the same time as the competition which helped them a lot as well.

There's no prizes for the 'competition' (if you can really call it that) so there's zero incentive to place 1st/2nd/3rd/etc. What you see for the leaderboard is basically just how much people are wagering normally. I bet volume would go up and there would be some real competition like you described if prizes were offered.

Such competitions expected to be more frequent / ongoing in the future.

As said by DS, yes there's no actual competition.

This means they are not after the competition, they don't care, they were just gambling boat loads and were having fun and that just happily were at the same time as the competition which helped them a lot as well.
It's the same as the other casinos that lists their gamblers who are the top of the LB. And you are right that they are not up with anything but just simply gamble as they do. But if there will be any competition soon, the volume and wager surely will increase because of the wagering requirement as usual and the uncommon names will show up to the LB.

Nice speed score still in yellow at 85  Grin

I’m not sure how you got a lower score mate, but I wish you could have checked your facts well before posting here and kindly see the below photos.

Nice speed score still in yellow at 85  Grin

Yeah, but way more better than this one. lol

Can you name sites that do able to reach 90+ above?

@milewilda hahah nice catch and I can name one site i.e. Bitdice as it’s scores are above 90, and take it from an seo expert (me) getting a score of 90 is not at all easy unless of course you can invest time and money to get there.

Not your keys, not your coins!
I am entirely sure the admins or at least theymos would be understanding if you just plea with them. You do not have to enforce a rule but if there is a rule that is against the rules of the forum that would be seen as grounds to lock the topic and I can totally understand that but if you do not enforce the rule and you just promise them that you will remove that rule, I am pretty sure theymos would understand and unlock it.
Rules are rules and if there is rule on that topic that breaks forum rules, ban is appropriate. It is suck to argue that that rule of the campaign were not actively applied for long time before. There is no proof to say that. I don't say Bitdice intended to break rule but it is hard to prove anything. And if admin allows it, there will be others to make appeal for the same reasons. It sucks if such ban appeals come from scam projects so it is the best to keep the rule, and avoid any future complaint or appeal.

Anyway, life is onwards and keep moving. A new thread means you are not totally banned on the forum and it is good.

Yesterday we had a small update on the site which included a performance update which should improve performance for most users but especially for mobile users or those with less powerful devices.

We also had minor updates to the front-end for example dicebot now allows users to increase / decrease bet size on both win and loss.

@BoXXoB indeed that update has made the site even faster on mobile, and if anyone wishes to test it then they can enter the site url on google page speed site and there you’ll be able to notice that the site is loading blazingly fast on mobile and desktop both. Also it seems that Larry1254 has left his fellow competitors in dust, and just today I had noticed that hdf was third but now it seems that he’s slipped down to the fourth position so it’ll be interesting to watch if he can bounce back to reclaim the third spot.

Test Bitdice speed out here:

I am pretty sure whenever you need a new participant to your signature campaign, you can simply make a new post and start from there, if you still have some people you are working with just add them there as well as in already there instead of hiring, and just add the new people on top of that.

I know this will make it harder because you already had one and it is sad to see it archived and the feeling of starting all over again may not be all that good however think of it as a chance to improve the topic and go bigger and better. Plus, nowadays everyone hires a campaign manager anyway, you can simply just pay a dude to make the topic and run it with total control and you would be just checking on what they do instead of actually doing anything yourself.

@Sygambler was indeed awarded a nice bounty when he disclosed the bug, and for the record Bitdice finances are strong and they won’t be bankrupt because of this hack.
yeah indeed , I don't really remember what it was exactly but probably it was something like bet voided with money credited twice to balance or something like that and the bet was  500$ if I remember correctly
after notifying support they told me that I can keep the extra 500$   Smiley
It's an encouragement to those who will experience a bug and instead of exploiting it but report it immediately to BitDice's management.

I know this could be a less important issue but what happened to the signature thread?
I understand the first one was locked by mods for which ever reason am not sure about but why then was the second thread locked and trashed?
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--523133

Not sure what link you have since leads to nowhere to me. This is Bitdice signature campaign thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5231337.msg53989972#msg53989972  It is locked since it dont takes new members.

Hmm. I just noticed in middle when I was making this post that it is now in archive. Things are getting strange on this forum.

What is going on here...

Nobody told us why the thread was archived or anything. What are we expected to do when we need new participants?

I’m not sure what’s the issue with the signature thread but it’s irrelevant to discuss it in the Ann thread, and just for the record the campaign is going on smoothly so no more discussions are needed about it. Furthermore I’m happy to see hdf occupy the third spot, but I also do know that this whale can always take the top spot if he wishes too, and that’s why I’m sincerely hoping that he amazes us soon with his big bets.

Ive seen that signature thread had been locked again but i agree with you here that it isnt needed anymore since there are no spots or vacant for new members.Dont know whats the reason why they locked it.
Talking on the current rankings then its no surprising that hdf would be there but also to recognize that tinyshi is always been on top boards too.  Smiley

There are white hat hackers and there are black hat hackers, which one you are talking about changes too much about the exploits in a casino (or any website). Normally a white hat hacker is paid just to take a look at the website, however bad part about them is the fact that almost all of them wants to be paid, very rarely a casino does "x amount if you can hack us" type of deal and white hacks already knows if its hackable they can already hack and take what they want, if it is not hackable that doesn't worth their time, so in order to not take anything when they hack, they want beforehand money. Black hat is just the opposite, it is dudes like this one who steal whatever they can, it doesn't matter if it is 1 satoshi or 1 btc, they just steal if they can.

@lixer you’re correct indeed there’re two types of hackers but if a casino is reputed then they’ll pay the white hat hacker as he’s found a bug which needs fixing, but if the white hat hacker decides to get greedy then the casino has no option to ban him as and when they find out about him.
Well, put yourself in the shoes of the hacker. It is really not all that easy to make money in this world, and what will bitdice pay? 100 dollars? A thousand? Ten thousand? Not really all that much will they?

So, the hacker who is already a person basically trying to find loopholes in websites which is not something a regular person would do, can go into the casino and steal money as much as he can without getting caught really, without getting sued, basically without having anything at all that is terrible for them, not a day in jail, basically live life like nothing happened, and expect them to just report it instead of stealing? That doesn't really sound reasonable.

I mean if I found one, I would report it, why? Because, I am not a hacker and at most I would be a beta tester at that point, but you can't expect a hacker to not really hack, that is what they do.

It will depend on what are the motive on the first place.

If we do talk about a pure hacker then most likely they wouldnt mind too much on a bounty or reward on finding bugs or loopholes because their primary motive in the first place is to hack a site and
abuse it as they can.

If we do talk a regular player or tester who had accidentally nor purposely found a bug then they will surely report it because they havent intended to steal out money because they do know that its
bad and punishable but well, all things will depend on persons mindset.
