The most reasonable explanation is that someone used a stolen creditcard and it was chargedback (that explains the "original cardholder" in their response). You can ask your friend and explain to us how he obtained the funds (what funding method exactly) and if he could show something like a blurred CC statement showing the specified transaction to Bitgold or something...

People jumping on BitGold back and attacking them and claiming they are "going under", they just purchased a company for ~52 Million dollars and are a relatively big company now, there are unsatisfied customers of course (Like with PayPal, you can't say they are a scam but a bunch of people hate them and how they manage disputes/transactions/chargebacks etc...)

I wait for my bonus on bitgold
Bitgold is presented on all forums and adspace.

Yep, the last time I witness an adsense blitzkrieg like this, shortly thereafter GAW went belly-up.

I have connected a one Tom Williams to a mining outfit that just filed for bankruptcy the same time BitGold made their most recent announcements. Also, mybitcoin.com's terms were gleaned from a gold web presence found no where else on the Internet. There is a name I'm currently withholding that was affiliated with both entities.
Not sure of course, but hard to compare a cloud mining joke with a relatively big, well-funded business of this size... Just My opinion though and everyone is free to think the way they want.

Seems legit to me: Paid ~$52M for a company that claimed to have over $1.2B (with a B) in assets. No wonder Soros Brothers invested millions in them.

If you guys happened to have several hours to spare, please take the time to compare http://www.sorosbrothers.com/ to how it looked three years ago: http://web.archive.org/web/20120721051756/http://www.sorosbrothers.com/ Prepare to be shocked, shocked I tell you. Shocked!

Bitgold is not a scam,it is a new technology for spending gold like Bitcoins using the same technology. The stock market is now trying to do the same for everything if you haven't been reading the news. When you are dealing with Gold or low inflated fiat with affiliate marketing products they check the same way for fraud like VPN, multiple accounts ,E-mails,credit card theft ETC. Most likely the "friend" has tried cheating them before and knew he could transfer the funds but if they were to withdraw they would investigate before release. i have worked with Bitgold now for a while and i assure you i have no problem getting paid !

BitGold a Scam?

BitGold Stock Information and News:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=XAU.V
http://www.stockhouse.com/companies/quote/v.xau/bitgold-inc
https://www.google.ca/finance?q=CVE%3AXAU

BitGold Investor Relations:
http://ir.bitgold.com/investors/investors-home/default.aspx
http://ir.bitgold.com/investors/stock-information/default.aspx

Sedar GoldMoney Inc. (formerly BitGold Inc.) Company Filings:
http://www.sedar.com/DisplayProfile.do?lang=EN&issuerType=03&issuerNo=00037170

They just acquired GoldMoney and have a publicly traded stock.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitgold-completes-59-4mm-acquisition-223400240.html

BitGold has deep pockets, they can afford to give out a little bonus, read the news articles on them on the above links.
Not to mention, by giving away a referral bonus, they also get to collect data. $0.88 for someones data is a cheap price.

If you are investor with them, please let us know if you can redeem your money or not..... If yes please show us proofs...... Thank you very much

I never said I was an investor, I was just supplying links to information on their company.

I was an investor with them and they scammed me..... So I am sure about what I say... Thank you again

Where did you buy their stock at to invest in them in?
Or are you implying by 'investing' you merely added funds to your BitGold account?

If you simply added funds to your account, you're not an investor, you're simply someone using their service.

Ok... You are right.. I was someone who used their service and was scammed by them... So I was not investor but I was scammed service victim

Before you used their service, did you verify all your information, provide all the necessary documentation, and confirm your bank account, etc?
How were the funds added to your account?
What did you do with the funds once you added them?
Did you bother calling customer support contrary to just emailing them?

I've called customer support numerous times and have always received prompt service.

I did all of this and I have obtained my funds as I mentioned at my last posts here... They disabled my account just when I tried to redeem my funds

Since you called customer support, what did customer support tell you?
I feel as if you're leaving some details out.

If your 'friend' sent you these funds under fraudulent means, then yes, you're subject to being suspended.
Did you both use the same IP to transfer the funds?

Where did your friend obtain the funds in order to send them to you?
Why didn't he just redeem for physical gold?

Have you read the Terms of Service?

14.1 "BitGold may immediately suspend or terminate your access to any or all of the BitGold Services and/or deactivate or cancel your account if you are in default, including if (i) BitGold is required to do so by a valid subpoena, court order or order from a regulatory authority, or otherwise required by law, (ii) your account is being misused or being used in furtherance of illegal activity, (iii) you take any action to circumvent BitGold's controls, including, but not limited to, opening multiple accounts or abusing promotions which BitGold may offer from time to time, or (iv) if you are in breach of this Agreement."

14.4 "Upon suspension or cancellation of your account, you authorize BitGold to cancel or suspend pending transactions and hold the funds associated with such transactions until BitGold is certain that funding reversal windows are complete. In the event that you or BitGold terminates this Agreement or your access to the BitGold Services, or deactivates or cancels your account, you will remain liable for all amounts due hereunder."

Ok my friend... I will answer all your questions and tell you the complete story later because I have some thing to do now.... Thank you again for your help

And since in your first post you posted their response:

"Your account has been suspended in connection with the distribution of fraudulently obtained funds. The funds have been returned to the original cardholder and your account will remain suspended."

You obtained those funds from an account that was deemed as fraudulent, but you still feel as if you're entitled to them?

It is not BitGold who scammed you, rather your 'friend'. They're a business and they do their due diligence to protect against fraudulent activity. Since the funds were 'returned to the original cardholder', maybe you should contact your friend and get your money in another manner contrary to using BitGolds services. If your friend didn't have a bank account, and sent you the fraudulently acquired funds to redeem, this implies you were both trying to circumvent the security measures that BitGold has in place.

Which is a breach of their Terms of Service.

It's not a scam.  It trades on the TSX (symbol XAU) and closed today @ $5.40CA per share.  BitGold is not an affiliate of Bitcoin.  They're not connected in any way.
LOL, no it doesn't.
Uhh yes it does
http://www.stockhouse.com/companies/quote/v.xau/bitgold-inc
https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=XAU.V
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-investor/markets/stocks/summary/?q=XAU-X
And it seems to be doing pretty well, at 5$ right now and a volume of over 37,000 today.
So yes, he is correct, it does trade publicly and you are wrong Quickseller.

Wow look at these brand new accounts created just to defend bitgold.com Roll Eyes.

These desperate attempts saying its legit actually make it look even more of a scam than it did before.

I can't speak of the other accounts, but I can for this one.  But before I post again, I appreciate it if people stop emailing me with suggestions of what to shove up my pussy.  At my age I'm pretty sure I have that aspect down to a science.

This is really the SCAM sound !!!!!
