Bitgold is without a doubt a legit company. Any person with an iq high enough to use google could easily figure that out.

Any sources that bitgold is a legit company?

Wow look at these brand new accounts created just to defend bitgold.com Roll Eyes.

These desperate attempts saying its legit actually make it look even more of a scam than it did before.

It's not a scam.  It trades on the TSX (symbol XAU) and closed today @ $5.40CA per share.  BitGold is not an affiliate of Bitcoin.  They're not connected in any way.
LOL, no it doesn't.

When you open an account, they tell you right up front when you get gold through the referral program that there is a delay of a couple of weeks before the application is approved, because they have to make sure there is no fraud in regards to the credit cards or bank accounts used.

The company is backed by Dundee Capital Markets, Cannacord Genuity, Sprott Inc, and a few other well known investment firms.  The team is lead by some pretty impressive names…Darrell MacMullin (Chief Executive Officer)  Roy Sebag (Founder)  Josh Crumb  (Co-Founder - Chief Strategy Officer).  They are audited by PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

I would think with all the excitement around this company and the idea, that there are plenty of people who are trying to scam the system and transfer gold using fraud.  So it makes sense that the company is taking all necessary precautions to ensure there is no theft.

Imagine that you own a small shop the sells various goods. Someone comes in and pays you $850 for your products using a credit card. A week later, you are checking your accounts and discover that $850 has been charged back and is no longer in your account. When you inquire, you find out that your customer had stolen that card and the funds have been returned to the person who actually owns the card.

BitGold is not a scam, you just got screwed by a thief and are bitter. The company is publicly traded and backed by world-famous investors. You interact with shady characters using stolen cards online. Do you research next time and choose your friends better.
What exchange does it trade on, what is its ticker symbol, and who are these "world famous investors"?

I think it should be pretty obvious that any site that pays as much as they do just for signing up and that pays as much as they do for referrals is a scam. TBH, it is pretty smart what they did, they made the threshold to withdraw high so very few people would ever try to have their "gold" sent to them, plus their "storage" service was free so assuming they are a legit company, it would make sense for their customers to not try to have their gold sent to them.

They are a scam site, and anyone who is trying to get people to sign up as a referral or is advertising their site is promoting a scam.

I knew that it was a scam , but still people are farming for its referral , i feel that they will never be able to redeem their gold for Bitcoins ,all the site is doing is collecting user data.
Lots of thread Flooding for referrals in service Section.
