I don't see any talk of overclocking the R4 in this thread.  I found this video of a guy who says he upped his speed from 600M to 650M (speed of the faster R9) with little increase in heat for a 9.3TH/s.  Anyone else able to run this speed without problems?
He's not completely knowledgeable on the power consumption, as he's unaware that the S9 has 3 boards and the R4 has 2 boards so when he calculates that increase in power he's doing it assuming the R4 has 3 boards also (actual increase should be about 67watts, not 103watts, so about 915watts = 1,000+ watts at the wall).
Careful with this video, about 1/2 through he changes his audio settings and you might blow your speakers if the volume is too high.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qv7c3BWtvZk

Here's his results when he pushes it to 700M (he's not aware that you need to let it settle and run for a while to see a result on a lower speed and that you need to watch the HW errors to see if it's working OK):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCTAKIQSkVc

Will Batch 2 of the R4's have the autotune feature the new S9's have?

I got 1 since I am not sure of the answer to your question

Evil beware: We have waffles!
probably was due to Cyber Monday week...  I just had a BTC xfr to Coinbase take 49hrs to be confirmed after paying Blockchain.info's default tx fee...  With everybody and their brother no doubt paying more for faster confirmations things got backed up...  The good part for me is that BTC >USD went up during the time it took so was worth more when I exchanged Smiley

Yeah I sent them e-mail immediately after I noticed that is was about 50 minutes without confirmation.
It took a total of 486 minutes a.k.a. about 8 hours (!) for my payment to get confirmed.
I did make the payment two minutes after making the order, so I hope Bitmain will keep my order valid after all.
I got the "BITMAIN order paid" e-mail but the order is still as "paid, unshipped, expired" in "my orders".
Same here although I paid like half hour after order. I guess wa all have to wait till Monday (Beijing time = Sunday eve) to have any response.

Well I will jump back to 45th.

Follow up my order is now marked expired due to a 228 minute wait for a confirm.
Hopefully they will fix this soon.

Anyone else this has happened to just make sure you email them.

Just realized B2 is only 8TH/s vs. B1 8.6TH/s.  Guess that's why there's the over $300 drop and it's not due to a price adjustment since release?  Since they have the same power rating of 845W + 9%, that means these are less efficient than B1.

The numbers don't have much meaning, until you test batch 1 against batch 2.

And 1336 / 1000. Compared to 8.6/8.0   Means a price drop.

Of course I paid more like 1040 due to exchange rate theft on their part.

I don't buy much ASIC gear from Avalon or bit-main.  I spend more on gpus and mine alt coins.

Basically the gpu pc gear has real warranties from real companies.

Since I got back into gpu mining I have had more then 10k worth of gear with 5 successful rmas.
Much easier to make a few bucks. Fast shipping just better.

more like $1122 (1.457 btc) before shipping or $1218 shipped (1.582 btc), but who is counting... Grin
bottom line..meh deal.

Alright I am more relaxed now that others seeing the same as me. Why don't they change the status to processing? Would make people less jumpy.
I believe right question should be: Why they started sale at 11pm Friday night?

I sent payment immediately and over an hour later it still hasn't gone through and the order on my account shows expired because they haven't received it yet.  I believe this is common though?
Same here but if you go their wallet mentioned above you can probably see your payment like I see mine and tons of unconfirmed transactions following.

Crap, I wanted to buy some.
They're selling like hotcakes, huh.
Last miner that was selling this fast was the S3... and those things are generating my heat this winter.
I checked last night, sold out; this morning, sold out again but they sold some?
I not witnessed hot sales like this ever since.
They got a winner with this I think, hopefully they build more; would love a pair.

Seems as if orders fall thru they sell them. I sent payment immediately but have not confirmed with Bitmain. How long does it take? I see the transaction on the blockchain and they moved the funds to a different account.
