I feel like the real miners don't really care about a bit of noise lol and I say that because if you're really in it to make money you are going to need a lot of miners and a professional operation so noise is not going to be a big concern of yours. Just my opinion.
The point of the R4 was to build a miner that could be run by the home miner enthusiast. That's it. Let's face it, home miners haven't made a profit for some time. It's just not possible. Still, there is a market here.
I don't understand why being a real miner must = noisy and hot. They clearly did it with the R4 at just 3 TH/s less than the base S9. There is a huge market of people that would dip their feet in for something like the R4. Many that have next to free power could make this profitable from home in 6-7 months.
Because for every 10 home buyers that buy one or two,
there's 100 places buying 500 s9's.
Spondoolie proved it with the sp20, individual customers are a pain in the ass and a loss of money..
