Is it possible to mine BTG with Bitmain Miner AntMiner U1 and what software shall I use?
BTG doesn’t even use SHA256, it uses equihash which is the same algorithm used in Zcash. You’ll need a GPU to mine BTG, and information for that is found in the Altcoin mining section of the forum.

Try them one at a time.

If they all work individually, then the problem is with your powered hub.

I have similar problem BUT I run a computer old ATX PSU that powers directly the hub
I have managed to run them without problems for about 10days then it would not recognise one of them
and occasionally fail.
I was the same time running CPU miner when they conflict but when stopped the cpuminer running without problems.

I have a couple of U2 from one vendor that do 2.3-2.5GH/s, they have the R1 and R2 resistors soldered in so you can't read the values by sight.
I have another U2, which has the same layout (they are slightly different that the U1) but no R2 and R1 is exposed to read and it won't do anything but 1.8GH/s reliably.
I have a batch of U1s from various vendors, none have R2 but most do 2GH/s reliably, even with the old heat sink.

I haven't tried going over 2 but bought them thinking my experience would be improved and that the heatsync size wouldn't be an issue. I find so far that in a mixed environment the share rates are less in a U1 u2 environment.

I can at least note that when a miner is unhappy the temps fly. When they are happy the stay room temp but are hot to touch and read a lot higher when hashing hits the fan and double blink.

I'm still trying to find out what a yellow blinking successfully mining U1 means but both don't seem to have a manual to explain why all the lights mean and I probably can't overclocking past the u1's with the u2''s unless ckolivias tweaks to make the devices individuals if there's a difference besides overclocking ability.

That's my thoughts for now. Sorry I haven't played with over 2 Gigahashes

Yes, the U2.  They do, but they seem to have OC issues at anything higher than 2.4Ghash.  Seems to be a voltage issue.

Hi again,

is there anybody, who got the U2+ higher than 2,4 GH/s with changing / using R1 and R2 like it was possible with the U1 and U2 (without +)? I have had the U1 and U2 close to 3 GH/s, U2+ no way so far.

I bought it on ebay,it lights up red, do I have to replace drivers with zadig cause I wasn't able to do that....

If you're using CGminer, yes.  You don't have to in BFGminer.

Yes, there is: try running the latest cgminer release.
3.8.5 is too old!!!
Try using 4.0 up

yes it has two heat sinks, also do you know where I could find help with zadig so I can get my computer to recognize them at all?

Two heatsinks?! the picture has only one.
Could you please read the version printed on the PCB or upload a picture of them?

I need help and would highly appreciate it if someone were to help me...

So first things first I have an antminer u1 or u2 not really sure which one, second of all Zadig doesn't see my antminer even though I have installed all the necessary drivers, and last but not least cgminer gives me an error when I enter 127.0.0.1:0000 as the url as I am not mining with a pool.

Hum... Let's start with the miner.
What version is written on the PCB? Does it have an heatsink like the one in my previous reply in this topic?
As for Zading, I can't help much.
As for cgminer, I believe 127.0.0.1:0000 would only make sense if you have that port on bitcoin.conf file.
