I think BEs and The U1s don't coexist well on same machine yet with the custom build of cgminer for the u1s. Anyone have them both running together ok?

CGMINER -n

look for the Bus and Device
.USB dev 1: Bus 1 Device 14 ID: 0403:6014
  Manufacturer: 'Butterfly Labs'

Then to use only that device (or devices) do

cgminer --usb 1:14

Detects my U1 and my USB BE. Well, it knows they're plugged in but doesn't know what they are (Failed to open, err -12). CGMiner 3.1.1 doesn't care, just uses the BE anyway because I tell it to explicitly. Didn't have much luck with zadig when I was messing with it a few  months ago, don't want to mess with it again.

So whatever happened to the -S option in cgminer? Is it possible to run these without the zadig driver? USB BE would work just fine without it, back in the day when you could manually specify which devices to use. Is it still possible to manually specify which devices to use, instead of assuming cgminer knows what you want?

Update, helped a new MAC user over WebEx tonight with Parallels, and after figuring out his pool was wrong, and having to use

"cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:20 --bmsc-freq 0781"

to start it mining, we got him up and working just fine.  So note to MAC's it does work on your hardware too (using Windows Emulation)!

I have my unit running with the prebuilt windows version.
I have it over clocked to 275mhz and the resulting hash rate reported by CGM is about 2.18ghs WU27.1/m.

I am seeing a high error rate (around 10%).
Strange thing is I seem to get this error rate no matter what clock rate I have tried.

What do you adjust in the settings?

I'm running with cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:20 -o  --
bmsc-freq 0781

The Github for Antminer has a guide with all the settings you could adjust for the U1. It was very helpful for me!

The AntMiner-U1 user guide has information on how to get running in windows.
The guide can be found here https://github.com/AntMiner/AntGen1/tree/master/manual

hmm, the zadig drivers were a poblem for me with block erupters too though - i had to run the driver for each usb port on my computer, if not every port on the hub as well.

are the drivers the same win11 or whatever its called?

Please feel free to share any tips and tricks related to the AntMiner U1 USB!

I was having issues getting more than 1 USB to run at a time - tip from iluvspcs/BTCjoe
IMO the drivers from AntMan on the github for cgminer works, but it needs some tweaking.  I shipped a unit to a developer who works on a few of the builds for CG and BFG miner software for his input.  BTCjoe sent this over to get multiples working - here's his trick:

With CGminer is running, add one in and then use Zadig to reinstall the driver for the one you just added.   You kind of have to keep an eye on which one just popped up in the drop down list of Zadig because it doesn't really tell you which one is the new one you just plugged in.

While CGminer is still running, after you reinstall the driver with Zadig, pull it out for a few seconds and plug it back in.. and CGminer will find it and run it..

seriously looks tricky. not sure if I want to buy U1 or S1 miners now.
