Electrical engineer. Mining since 2014.
I'm not so convinced yet about Halong Mining, they have not yet proved reliably that the btc miner, DragonMint 16Th/s exists for real.

At the moment for me the dragonmint looks like it might actually be Innosilicon hardware https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.28385439

DragonMint B52 Blake2b Miner

Blake2b miner. 3.5TH/s at 1000W -/+8% with 135 chips.

https://halongmining.com/shop/dragonmint-b52-blake2b-miner/

I think A3 will be even worse than the D3 .

I know there is no release date on the dragon miners but if it is "soon" and if they come in at spec this could be a perfect storm of only one coin to mine and bitmain rushing to get the most inventory out before the competition....i hope i am wrong.

Im sure that the daily profit will be like 50-100$ when we get this on our hands...

I think for the first two weeks around 200 a day , enough to ROI on the units , but not really since bch could be double by then lol

I got 1 ordered but I forgot to use my bitmain coupons ugh! If anyone want coupons please pm me and I'll provide proof. $50 each in any crypto (have 2 available).

Let's hope it doesn't ends up the same way as the D3's

coupons weren't accepted yesterday, not sure about today

I also managed to order and pay for 4 within the 1 hour payment window, so far. Sure is tedious and expensive for shipping this way, but I guess this shuts down the large miners from going in big.

I just got one ordered.  First time mining and wish good luck and not late into the game.

May I know which pool should I look into using this Blake 2b algo?  NichHash pool seems not supported.  Hope some si foo here can give me some light.

thanks,

One of the biggest resellers starts another thread vaguely promoting their next sale, nothing new here. Have fun making tons of bitmain accounts enjoy the headaches of it.

Bitmain are in a unique position  here, they will have the first released asic for blake2b and will own the hashrate  for months. Baikal giant b owners wont likely bother mining this algo in favour for more profitable  algos on their machines. The d3 had to compete with ibelink,  innosilicon,  pinidea and baikal, all at once. Halong could be months away and possibly in small batches and the sc1 wont come till june. Limited buy quantities is also good sign. Its just up to bitmain to not overproduce , maybe this could be their chance to win back the hearts of miners after the d3 debacle.

Im seeing bitmain sales good and KILL competitors even before they got into the ring. Its the harsh reality in any industry, which is better for us from batch 1 Grin

Somehow I dont think Bitmain is concerned with winning hearts.  I am sure they prefer to win cold hard cash.  Bitcoin cash preferably.

how many units of A3 was sold today anyone has figures?

Whats wrong with D3 mate ?

My nov batch of $1450 D3 still give me more than $20 a day and should have break even next month. Furthermore with $20 a day, I did sold all of them for $2800 EACH in my local market. I still profit anyway if I sold it for $1000, but the market here is good Wink

So thanks Bitmain, looking forward for A3 next batch Grin
what do you mine with d3?

Looks like about 5000 units were sold internationally, and 6000 units were sold in china, approx 11k units to hit the network.

At 815GH/s per unit, looking at approx 9000TH/s joining the network if one assumed all units start mining on receipt of the units.

Current network hashrate is 600TH/s approx. 15x increase in total hash rate. This would bring down the daily profits to approx 34$usd/day if all 11k units start hashing on the network.

I would assume that the first/2nd batch likely to have a great ROI, and then fall the fate of the D3's following that.

Good luck all

Where do the numbers come from?
Hash should not jump too high since some slow gpu miner will moving to other algo because cannot compete with ASIC

Units sold is based off bitmain site, there may be more units sold if re-open sales again.
$/day is from whattomine.com and based off the sia network explorer
GPU mining accounts for only 600TH/s, even if all current GPU miners leave the network, net difficulty will increase 14x when all sold units start hashing.

What issues do you see?

Sia going to miss the moon and heads straight to blackhole?

Im not mining anything with D3, I give rent to people who need X11 hash power. As the same as L3+, S9 etc... This way you can make better profit, most of my miner from bitmain got me break even in 3 to 4 month.
