Looks like a price drop on the Z9 full, now.

Currently $3184 at bitmain, is that less than previous batch? What was the price before?

Yes, Bitmain had this just over $3.3k for the late august early September batch.

What was the earliest advertised dispatch date for the next batch? August 24th right?

z9 mini 2nd batch was shipping between Aug 24 and Sept 4 from memory.

z9 full was shipping between Sept 1 and Sep 10

I ordered some z9 minis June 6 and again on July 26.  Neither have shipped yet.

I would like to try the z9 full but am waiting to see if it will match 4 x z9 minis with overclock.
Would be a shame if it was less than that.

LOL - I did exactly the same

Z9 "full" off hand? Releases just ahead of the z9 mini batch. Early Sept, for any equihash asic if I recall correctly is market (manufacturer direct at least).

The APW3++ is supposed to be rated for 1200w on 110v. You can't run 3 minis on 1 APW without 6 pin splitters which I believe you're not supposed to do. However I am going to try to run 5 of them on 2 of these PSUs
The mini draws like 350W overclocked. You can likely run three of them on one APW3++ (though it's rated for only 1000W @110, I've never had a problem going over with any of mine--not suggesting others do it, just saying).

The APW3++ is rated for 1200W on 110v. You can't run 3 minis on a single APW unless you use 6 pin splitters which I believe you're not supposed to do. However I am going to try running 5 of them on 2 of these PSUs

Never use pin splitters. If you switch to 220, you can add more cables if you want, but splitting limits you to the max output of each cable, not the overall psu. And yeah, you're right, I forgot there are only 10 cables. You'd have to add more.

It depends which/when you bought. Bitmain's current APW listing says 1000 @ 110. All of mine were rated 1200W, I was just being conservative in the examples.

More like 420 watts at 750 MHz using a single Bitmain APW3+++ per Mini.

Mine peaks hashrate-wise at 718MHz, and draws around 350-360 according to my kill-o-watt. Are you on 110-130v or 220-250?

Even at 420, you can safely run two on one APW3++ (as long as you have enough room on the line). 3 is a risk, but two should still come in under the max (unless you're on 220, in which case you could really run 4 if you add more cables).

EDIT--to run three you also would have to add two cables, my bad.

For sale? Probably. For use? It's the same hashrate/power consumption per chip, the mini will continue to be profitable at the same ratio as the bigger guys, just less on a day to day level.

Also Z9 mini is realistically the only ASIC miner for mining at home without any special investment in electrical installation (even if you a have a few of them). The noise level is border line tolerable and it is using not much more power than GTX1080Ti (with the price of second batch with coupon, comparable as well)

Not at all, pretty much all Bitmain miners are usable at home without any electrical mods (provided your house doesn't have pre-60s wiring still); any 20amp circuit will easily suffice, and most of them run fine on a 15amp line. That said, ALL miners are more efficient on a 220v line, and the A3 and S9 both require their own dedicated lines (I assume the Z9 biggie does as well)...

Make sure to use a psu that will function on a 110v line at the wattage you need.

The A3, T9, and the S9 are the only Bitmain miners I know of that this is a concern for. I don't have an S9 or T9, but for the A3 the bitmain standard PSU worked fine on 110 in tests, but I didn't want to risk it and powered one of the cards with an old PSU pulled from a dead tower.

Yea the power draw on the mini's should be more than plenty with the 1800w antminer psu on 110v, double check though. I have mine with a simple 800w corsair on 15a 110v circuit.

Has anyone tried to put second fan for extraction?

I have one taped on, using metal tape and covering the additional vent holes. It's for ducting purposes. Once I finish my cabinet, though, I will likely remove it as I think it ran a couple degrees cooler with the open front.

You misunderstood me or I should have said that these Z9 mini miners are in addition to the existing GPU mining rigs (2.5kW). Do not forget that a house has lots of appliances and some of them also take up to 1.8 KW in peak. Temperatures this Summer are high and I had to add a portable AC (in addition to central air). I could not add a S9 without adding 220V installation.

A 20amp 110v line provides 220W. by the 80% rule, that means a constant draw of 1.76kW is perfectly acceptable, you just need it to be a dedicated line. (this is an example; most of the single phase lines in my house tend towards 120v, so their ceiling is higher).

I'm not saying 220-250v isn't preferable, it is, for numerous reasons (more efficient as well), just saying I ran all my miners, including my A3, on 110v lines until I set up my subpanel. You just have to make sure you're not putting high draw gear on busy circuits and not hitting the max for the house as a whole. But again, if you're going to add lines anyway, you might as well put in 220v ones.

Since two days ago Z9 Mini is -Sold Out- so...

What's the next step of Bitmain?

Release a new batch of 'Z9 Mini' cheapest than 850$?

New batch with the same price?

Not sale 'Z9 mini' again?

Equihash miners went up in performance so fast, it probably doesn't make sense to sell the Mini again. I bet they switch to only selling the big Z9 (against the A9 ZMaster and others) and competing on hashrate+shipping-volume (where Bitmain can throw miners in the mail for buyers faster than anyone else).
That's right. A9 right now makes <$50 per day and will drop more for sure, so what is the chance for Z9 mini in next month?

I still see $53/day. My Z9 mini is still making ~0.11-13 ZEC a day (it was making ~ 0.15-0.16 ZEC/day in June)

How are you seeing $53/day?  at .13 ZEC a day at today's ZEC/USD that would be about $18 before electric costs?

I was refering to Z9 - not Z9 mini (and it was a fer days ago). My cost of electricity is 6.5c/kWh (average)
