Also, I know you bought and received batch 1. I'm referring to those who bought batch 2 and later.
Equihash difficulty is about to explode over the next couple of months along with the price. Once Christmas arrives, I would seriously consider selling your Z9's while the price of ZEC and ZEN are sill high if I were y'all. That's my opinion of course.
Actually I sold my batch 1's at a nice profit (ROI day 1), I did pick up 1 from batch 2. It sold for more than I paid for it. So I like the ROI on Bitmain products!
Simply re-itterating the point that you did not stick it out with your batch 2 by trying to ROI via mining. You ROI'ed via selling it to an unsuspecting miner with a dream or someone with very low power costs.

Not an excellent comparison. The gun manufactures are lettin the citizens do the dirty work. Causes five more to want to buy a gun. Still very dirty pool. if you are in the USA and bought 2 Z9s, you can pretty bet on getting the tariff. get your checkbook ready as those two miners combined are thousands of dollars that will not be unnoticed.
Aye, I'm expecting to get hit for $2500 (3319*3*0.25)... but praying they get through without that hit. The power supplies ship separate, with a unique invoice and a different HST code.. I haven't looked that code up to see what bracket it fits in... here's to hodling to earn back later.

I think the current tariff is hit and miss. I brought in 20 z9 minis through Fedex in two separate shipments and looks like I escaped the tariffs both times. Fedex did the clearance with formal entrees. No idea what HS Code they used.
Reports throughout this thread seem to indicate that some are getting charged and others are not. So good luck with that.
But I'm pretty sure when/if the next round of tariffs is approved, we will all be paying on everything coming in from China. No more Antminer orders for me until that is resolved and the tariffs go away.
Good luck with the Z9s. My zcash mining payout has dropped by about 25% since this second batch began shipping (in coin qty not USD amount).
From my experience being in importer of Chinese goods for about 10 years now. Fedex will send you a nice invoice in 2-4 weeks. So look out for it.
By the way, I earn ~ 0.27-0.28 ZEC /day with three Z9 mini (I was getting ~ 0.16-0.17 ZEC/day on one Z9 mini in June)
yeah, you have 1x 109 rejected and 1x 83 rejected. I managed to get 0 rejections mining ZEN on ZHash. I mine around 0.5 ZEN/day with 1 Z9 mini.
earnings still looking good but I can't wait to see the impact of Z9 Full shippents.
