7nm chips are in production right now. Why do you think Bitmain flooded the market with their 16nm tech? Out with the old, in with the  new. Ya got a whole bunch of dumbasses that paid such high prices for 16nm chips in their ASIC miners, that it will  take them 1.5 years to pay the initial cost. Trust me, by then 7nm will be in full bloom and production. So bottom line....you don't know what you're talking about.
Maybe you can tell us what fab and what quantity does bitmain get access *now*, that is September 2017 to be precise  Roll Eyes

I did understood that a Japanese company had created the 7 nm chip and will compete with Bitmain. They said not to chair there chip and start mining on there own in januari and later on offer cloud mining and equipment. This was all aiming to sha265, so i think the d3 miner is save until mid 2018, but thats speculating  Cool
Taiwan Semi Conductor has been producing 7nm since late 2016, Samsung is ramping up their current production now as well as Intel. Is there some reason to believe that these Chip makers would not sell to Bitmain? These are just a FEW of the companies with current 7nm production. Bitmain has proven time and time again that they are a very versatile and savy company. They just dumped a shit ton of 16nm units on the masses. Do you really think they have done this without a plan to replace their existing miners with the 7nm to gain the edge in mining??? Why would anyone think that?? You've got idiots in droves out there paying 5, 6, 7, THOUSAND dollars for D3'S from resellers that are now only making $45.00 per day!! It's fucking amazing how stupid this is all getting. OF COURSE BITMAIN IS BUYING 7nm CHIPS.....TODAY in SEPTEMBER 2017!!! YOU won't be buying the units with them in them, but BITMAIN WILL BE MINING WITH THEM LONG BEFORE THAT!!!!
Man, please stop spreading false info. TSMC is doing 10nm now and they have preliminary 7nm Risk Production but nowhere near the volumes required. 7nm volume is 2018. Plus, they're going with folks like Broadcomm and Mediatek that have numbers way beyond Bitmains. There's no excess production for asics there.
Samsung is late as hell and they'll have their needs to satisfy first.

Bitmain will scrap the excess cap, when and if available.
Yhttp://www.zdnet.com/article/chipmakers-announce-7nm-technology/you're either ignorant or a liar. I'm not going to paste all the other sources but you're so fucking wrong it's laughable.

man, you're high on weed. what the fuck u mean not so bad?
based on your calculation link attached, it says $3.59/day, that is USD not KWD

Depends on your electricity costs. At $0.10/kwhr, it costs $3.12 a day to run, leaving 13% profit. Mining is a dangerous game (for your money) when Bitmain can screw people by selling too many miners. The price doesn't have to stay up either, potential buyers should imagine mining in a bear market.
thing is i dont have to pay for electricity so its not a big deal for me, but still that diff sucks

I don't get it. Why everybody is crying?!?

Maybe some of us don't want to wait 6 or 9 months to ROI my l3+ ROI was 4 weeks.

Sounds like you got spoiled by your L3+. There's no guarantee of ROI, don't be ridiculous. If you're not mining long-term, then why bother? Think of it as an investment in your mining business and any investment takes time to pay off. Just because you got lucky once... my Ibelink 384 MH didn't ROI in any sense of the word.

Does anybody know why the trading volume of Startcoin (x11) is so high. It is about 300btc per 24 hours for the last days i looked. The nethash is only 230GH?

A lot of D3 miner use X11 algo with autoswitch to most profitable coin and sell it on exchange for coin they want, probably that why Wink

Is this the first time that a manufacturer really UPOD  (UnderPromiseOverDeliver)  or what ?
16,777777% more hashing-speed, 20% less pwr consumption.
What temps do you see with yours ? It seems to target for chip-temps at 70C for me.
One board has crazy high hw-err but there are no X-es coming up, yet. Hashing speed is fine, too. Keeping my fingers crossed  Tongue
From my calculation yesterday i think that the fans are at ~ 70%

KNC Miner delivered the Titan scrypt ASIC considerably better than advertised, a little foggy on the details - it was 3 years ago.

and today at this time situation repeats ... over 200 Ths just now

This is all new with me, but what number of chips has to do with ASIC's speed? Using logic bigger is better, shouldn't be 16nm chips be faster then 7nm? Or is not? Can you please elaborate?

These numerical values refer to the manufacturing "size" of the wafers used in the chips.  Not the quantity. Smiley  Generally smaller is better, as they are more efficient, use less electricity, generate less heat, and so on.

I did not expected batches from 30k to 50k miners. My energy cost is 26 eurocent per KW. I orderd 4x 3d miners. Probely i dont have to plug them in at the end of november. Also a lot of pre sales of this batch online. Pff, bye bye 6000 euro + 1500 vat  Undecided or the dash price must dubble  Huh
just sell it with bit profit, man

Listen to him, he is right, try to sell around 2000-2500 each, or offer 2500 and someone will bargain lower it to 2200, and you will in a little bit profit when you sell them, and you can invest into other tech

Yes i will try to sell, but i live in the Netherlands. So here everybody has the high enegry cost problem. If i ship them abroad, then again the miners will be taxed with vat  Sad
The price of dash will easily double. I live in the Netherlands too. I want to soon start a miners cooperative. I know how to get industrial power rates, just need to get enough capital. So you go to any bitcoin meetups around Amsterdam?

It could be worse for you, i sent my miner to France.   A country that is trying to match the US in fascism. My first miner was stolen at customs. This one was held for regulatory  review. Complete bs as its 100% legal. But this time my lawyer prepaired. If it is stolen or held unjustly they will soon see an injunction.

I don't get it. Why everybody complains on D3 being not profitable ? If you compare it to L3+ and S9, it is more profitable now, but will be about the same by the time november batch hits.

Maybe you get a ROI of 6-9 months. That is still awesome.

You can mine it for an year perhaps.

7nm is not coming anytime soon to asics.

Bitmain might release a D3+ with, say, 20GH but at that point your D3 will have paid for itself and you'll just profit less.

If you're lucky, dash will appreciate and btc will hit 5000+ in the mean time.

I don't get it. Why everybody is crying?!?

No one in the ASIC market can produce 7nm chips. Intel isn't even producing less than 14 nm due to production costs. 7nm chips may exist, but they are not consumer ready, and the ASIC market is a few years behind.

Those numbers are not right, network hashrate is around 110TH. This increase was caused middle late of september and that apllies to Bitmains september batch from 15 to 25 september (include 3 or 4 days delay for shipping operating). The increase is from hashrate 35TH to 110TH. I my calculation that is 75TH devided by 15GH that makes 5000 3d miners.

if u mean 7K for batch 1+1.5 it is right, because there is additional 20th for nicehash, so it means 130th-35th so 95th is around 6.3k miners Smiley

we dont really know about other batches

LOL
Nice hash doesn't have his own network of mining so don't add nicehash 20 ths bcz this 20 ths is already added in dash  network

How many batches of D3 were sold ? anyone kept a count ?

Sorry i doubt that anybody did.

batch 1    July 18
batch 1.5 July 25
presumably 7K both

batch 2    August 3      presumably 5k units
batch 3    August 11    presumably 5k units
batch 4    August 16 + extra units presumably 10-15K units

after this i'm not sure about batches

batch 5    August 17        presumably 20k units
batch 6    September 5    presumably 20k units
batch 7    September 14  presumably 20k units

assuming there is 100K units sold and all mining dash and price stays same, difficulty will be  around 55mil 4 day without electricity bills, not as bad as i thought Cheesy

Calc link with 100k units online https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/dash-mining-calculator/?h=15000.00&p=1200.00&pc=0&pf=0.00&d=55000000.00000000&r=1.80147602&er=0.09457800&btcer=3841.00010000&hc=0.00

Lol, way too many "presumably" in your stats.
that's because we really dont know if we believe that remaincount method is real then it's not presumebly it's 20k units but if it's not then i dont know about quantities, that's why i said presumably
