People still mine with this machine? To be honest, how much do you make in a day for one D3? $5 after the electricity?

is it normal for hash rates to fluctuate like this?

invest trade and gamble wisely
All warranties exclude physical damage. You need to chase the issue with the carrier. or atleast contact Bitmain outside of warranty claim to see if they can help you. But damn, that thing literally looks like it was run over.
So you think better not to raise a warranty ticket, but ask via normal support ticket for their advice?

thanks.

I also think bitmain will refuse taking care of that.

This is big error on the hosting company side. I bet such damage would have been visible on the box at first sight. To me the second option you mentioned (dropped by hosting worker) is very probable. I would insist on them to take care of.
Would you mind sharing which hosting we are talking about?

Lol, he might actually be the lucky one if he gets purchase value covered by UPS, or gets a coupon from Bitmain to get S9 instead.
Exactly!! I bet he ran that bitch over his own self!!! LMAO!!

LOL.. its a alt way to have "refund"

This is just one damaged unit from eight D3s which arrived.  Seven units are in good condition, and are already working, with quite high hashrate:).

Unfortunately I did not receive the miners by myself, in which case I would definetely checked the packages.  It was a hosting company where they arrived, and who says me to raise a ticket.  And they did not make a remark on the forwarder's papers when receiving.   Embarrassed     It might be also that a worker there dropped the box, who knows...

So it seems to better apply to BM as to a broken board, and send the whole unit.

Thanks everyone for compassion !  Smiley
I don't mean to bring rain and clouds but I'm guessing that's not " warranty work ". I'd be shocked if Bitmain would accept that as a warranty claim. I could be wring but....

Yes I am a pirate, 300 years too late!
I'm betting that Bitmain is going to tell him to file a claim with UPS!!

I think Bitmain probably will help you. It won't cost them anything really, and with your kind of luck you deserve some real customer service. Good luck!

Hello guys,

can you help with advice, please?   My D3 miners arrived damaged, like shown on pictures.   Due to some reasons I couldn't raise a claim to the transporting company.

I want to raise a repair ticket to BM.    Bitmain says the following on the repair site:

D3: Ship ONLY the defective part or the whole machine

Thus, there are only 3 options for D3 to be selected:  Fan, IO board, or Hash board :

Can anybody say from the picture what is broken?   Fan only ?

Shipping documents carry D3 actual purchase value. Do check whether if there is any insurance comes with the shipping used. Looks like this D3 get into some sort of wild accident, survive partly. But still it's already useless.

Is there a way that the fan doesn't go up to 100% everytime the pool glitch a little? or when started? it's annoying

You can try the custom firmware found here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/antminer-d3-blissz-firmware-1012-v112-update-2346161

I've never used it but I believe there's a fee associated with using it.
