The lesson is not to buy early new miners, but to buy the right one, since early doesnt mean more profitable, you can ask those who receive sept batch.
I think why does L3+ still profitable, its because the scrypt algo have many coin adopted so the hash spread along with the coin
But X11 only have few coins, and those cannot stand for quantity of D3

Adding mining algorithms can be hard, if the BM1760 chip is not as versatile as Baikal ASIC chip is, for example.

That's ridiculous, the APW3++ PSUs are not shipped yet. Now my two D3 are only an expensive heater because in my country electricity cost near 0.20-0.24 $/Kwh. D3 is the worstest mining experiment that I have done in all my years of mining. I has just lose a lot of money because i had payed about 750 Euro of customs duties and VAT for two D3 and I will pay more customs duties and VAT when the APW3++ will arrive.

At some point waaaay south of that difficulty, a LOT of people that over paid for D3 Servers and are overpaying for Kwh, will be forced off the network because they will be mining at a loss. i somewhat agree with that, many people will be forced out because of electricity, but amount bitmain sold will get difficulty near 50 mil if all of units go online, and even with 0.1 kwh it can get around 1 usd profit so if wont be negative income. but folks who have high electricity rates they will be forced out

Who knows... Current difficulty is 24M. There will be more big shipments in November ad December from Bitmain, and also from Ibelink - which they delayed.

I think nobody will buy D3 any longer

unless Bitmain loweres price to let's say $500.

It doesn't matter how many they sold. At some point and it is very close, a LOT of people that bought these with candy apple dreams won't be able to run them. Unless they want to PAY to run them. Which is unlikely. If your cost of Kwh is north of .08 you will soon be losing money to run a D3. It will NOT get to 50m.
