I'm sorry for everyone who bought that bullshit..... me included.... 0.07 DASH in 7 days running with no errors, time to throw away my D3?.

I've tried to mine in MPH and Suprnova and the results are similar.... oh god.... what's the best pool for DASH?

We should probably all start spamming Bitmain with tickets for new firmware supporting the other X algos and hope this can be achieved with the current hardware ...

I sent it...I advice everyone to send complaints because they cannot abandon the buyers...the profit can go down, okay, but they cannot leave buyers who have spent $ 2,000 (with customs charge)

Also open a ticket...everyone...this D3 is a total failure

They don't care.....they won't reply....there is NO chance......it is how bitmain has always rolled.....hell when LTC price went from 4.15 to 20-30 bucks at the start

they literally took my eastshore orders out of the truck and back to the plant....so the eastshore rep said...eastshore lost at least a million on that stunt on the shipping dock

yanked back....

and they kept them for 6 weeks because of firmware errors, but really to stop seg witness on LTC and the firmware arrived dated Jan 2017! yeah right, filled the data halls they owned

again my point, not a chance in hell they will listen to anybody...

and if LTC price goes up to $100 bucks I"m sure there will be another 'firmware problem' as they stock up their data halls

again its how bitmain IS as a corporate  culture

Oh wow, what a story, that is Bite Mean.

Yes I am a pirate, 300 years too late!
Hi.
Today I recieved information about my november batch was shipped, but package is only antminers without PSU's Sad Anyone had similiar issues?

I had the same issues with my L3+'s, the power supplies shipped 2 weeks after the miners

Bitcoin FTW!
Unless the chips are already physically compatible with other X algorithms or they are pretty much exactly the same don’t expect anything to “unlock” mining on other X algorithms. Baikal miners use FPGAs which can be changed to allow for more hashing of other algorithms through firmware changes, which is also why they are less efficient than the D3s. If Bitmain are using ASIC chips they cannot be modified like that.

Anyone tried to change freqeuncy of new 19,3 (GHS) toasters from 537 to 483mhz? Firmwase versions are same on both batch. Is working stable on lower freq?
Last batches miners hashing 19 ghs, but draws 1200w. Previouse batch miners hashing 17ghs, but using only 980w and temperatures are 10c lower.
I have been down clocking mine for the hotter times of the day. These units are so overclocked at 537 they are basically running at Redline all the time. Whenever I down clock mine, even just a little, they begin to stabilize immediately. Better temps, less to NO hardware errors. My experience has been that if I keep my chip temps < 70c the units are happy. In addition to down clocking I just run the fans at 90-100% as well. I typically do adjustments between 506Mh and 525. Seems to be helping a LOT.

If only DASH could do like ETH a few weeks ago. Friends who minted ETH were happy to see that ETH had decided to reset its difficulty as it was over a year ago
yeah difficulty was lowered but profits stayed same, no idea what happened there

@searing are you planning on getting the DCRD asic? from obelisk.tech?

Nope, I think I got took by the Sia coin folk. They promised their minerbox solution this last Summer ...no show

They said previously to this that coupons would apply to future Sia coin obelisk orders......(I have 5) now they

say only 1 coupon per unit ...I'm not getting another 5

They also will not allow a swap of a siacoin miner pre-ordered for this DCRD unit ........even thou same price

Lastly, they pop'd out this DCRD on like Nov 2nd or some such ...and will only allow it for pre-sale till Nov 24th

and are unclear WTF presale means...they still say they are gonna sell 4000 units of each

So out of my approx 12.5k invested...it is likely I will take a loss on these...with me looking at profit rate 50% to the  tax man, unless I found some equip to apply

that 50% too instead ...I'd pay either way...why not apply it to dubious equip at a 25% in real $$$ risk this year due to high tax on mining income? WTH?

this year..plus the 25% real $$ I can apply to equip deduction for taking all this equip off this year vs 5 years in not towards

taxes I KNOW I will have to pay anyway on top of that...

I'm down 25% (again in real $$ applied to taxes owed thisyear anyway) of this purchase price if the units never make 1c ..due to the above tricks..ie 25% risk over what I'd end up paying IRS w/no equp tricks

thus in real money applied....after taxes and all is said and done on the total $12,675.usd with shipping for the 5 sia obelisk units

I"m likely looking at a loss...if a complete loss (they don't ship) in real $$ of $3,162.50

Of course, I could get lucky and they could arrive and make enough on Sia coin and their ideas to get that 25% back

but I am dubious after the fact. They can't even get the calc on the www.obelisk.tech website correct

still shows a profit at old 100mh rate, not the supposed 300mh rate

I'm really out again $3,162.50 from my $12,650 investment...l

I took a shot and lost....this year I've been doing a lot of that ...... the same idea for the D3 ...out of 4k spent ...out 1k plus

the newbie getting equip under the above scenario it is 25% equip deduction off taxes due to IRS and the other 75% is all risk (because again newbie)

These are some of the reasons us 'old dogs' took a chance on the D3's and other dubious equip....we made so much $$$ on the 4.15 to 50 buck LTC rise

mining.....that is the circumstances this year...indeed likely a big result of why all ASIC's of any flavor are all off the shelf

but a new pup buying the stuff above like me ...2 D3's combined price of 4k plus and 12.65k for 5 obelisks...that would be dire indeed

The last point on the DCRD decred miner...my view is a mess of ASIC's hitting that coin will blow it up the same way the knc titan firmware patch

in 2014 allowed knc titans to mine scrypt-N instead of scrypt-pow coins too....blew up all-N coins to worthlessness in a month or so

too much hash ....too little $$$ and coin or protocol goes boom...this could be the case with Dcrd decred mineR and MAYBE x11 mining, both could go boom

pumping out ASIC toasters have consequences.....
