Just remember to leave feedback afterward Roll Eyes. I sold my s1 before the announcement on ebay and they didn't leave me feedback as of yet Cry. That seems to be a trend on expensive items  Undecided.

I've an order in for one S3+ via a WA dealer who has excellent Ebay feedback, but am considering getting a third miner, either S3 or S3+.  S3 attraction being saving a couple weeks.  (Am expecting a couple power supplies to show up Friday.)

Overclocking is easy enough with v3 firmware on bitmaintech website. The v3 has a pull down menu for speeds. There is an s3 support page somewhere around here and someone will know whats going on if you don't.

If your seeing them on ebay it probably means its time to buy the s3+ through proper channels. I'd just hope if there's a push there them there I'd get a good price if the s3+'s dc controller improves hashing for future overclocking to sell my s3-. S4 can't be that far behind if they can keep prices down.

Just make sure credit card or not that if he charges you make sure you jump him so you don't have a second one unintentionally.

Did you make a report to your bank? I wouldn't leave the money with Juan if your not getting a product from him. I'm trying a different distributor for my s3+ and hoping a bitcoin spike won't occur until after I've got my machines.

I just hope if your miner dies in the next 30 days the person you bought from amazon has some skill to fix it.
It was an attempted credit card purchase (as per original Juan provided instructions) -- required he OK the transaction but he chose to simply ignore it.  The seller was a miner who was selling off a rack full of supposedly not o/c'd S3s (at least 16 units).  Don't know if he was getting out of the game or switching to S3+, though I don't really see much advantage in that, only a slight increase in productivity and efficiency at the cost of a month's mining.

The S3 is in great condition and came up perfectly (no issues outside of my first timer learning curve, all ASICs good, 441KH/s, HWcalc gives .0015%), I'm not o/c'ing either (don't even know how to access the clock yet).  To lose a month of mining for the sake of the S3+ seems much more a loss than a gain.  Because of that month, I'm tempted to see if I can find another stash of used S3s at a reasonable price, perhaps a better plan than just waiting.  I see a few S3s plus a lot of S3+ pre-orders have shown up on Ebay -- many S3+ have great prices but are also indicating possible long handling times, wonder if they're being used to mine for a few weeks before forwarding?  I'm new to all this!

Hello Juan,

I keep requesting this and I yet again request you close/cancel/delete my now ancient batch 5 S3 order:

#1418    July 30, 2014    On-hold    $435.97 for 1 item

This was intended for credit card purchase and you told me over a week ago you no longer allow that!  Please get rid of this hanging order which will otherwise never exit my account, never be taken off hold!  As long as it's there, I can't place any new order.

Thanks  --  Trevor
Just bought a used S3 via Amazon, it gets me into the game now as opposed to God-knows-when.  It appears my old credit card batch 5 order is a permanent feature of my Juan account!  Thanks Juan, you're a champ!
The used batch 1 S3 arrived Saturday and came online Sunday evening.  Luckily, I had a 600W ATX12V on hand that supplies more than enough current.  The S3 seems a good box, a shame I had to wait so long before I could benefit from it!

NY has exempted mining in the draft.
They are also extending the comment period and getting ready to modify the proposal.

You did read my last post about caring less about juan if he's not going to respond in a speedy way. Get your bank in on it and get your money back.

I got more problems myself. NY is somehow trying ban or restrict mining here so I don't know if I can buy equipment at this time.

I wish I could report that my order #1438, paid for by a bank transfer on 8/4/14, had been received and was busily mining away for me, but this is not the case. It's listed as "on-hold," whatever that means.

#1438    August 2, 2014    On-hold    $435.97 for 1 item

Numerous emails and phone calls to 112bit.com, and posts to this forum have gone unanswered. What about it?

If you did bank to bank and don't have a response go to your bank and fill out the correct forms to pull it back. At least after the bank gets behind you , you can go to another site and buy your miner.

Order #1477 was placed on August 11, 2014 and is currently on-hold.
On August 13, 2014 I deposited the money in your BofA account.
I have emailed [email protected] and [email protected] regarding my order but no response.
I have called and let the phone ring and ring and ring and ring... no answer.
Please let me know your processing my order.

thanks,

Hey just a question did anyone remove the case to examine and notice blades out of position or missing? I opened it to try and see what was clicking and it turned out to be just the fans (clicking away). I was expecting to find an ip address sticker stuck in one of them.

Anyway other than the fans is this normal since on one side they chopped off half and then on the other side it looked like they were going to do it again and stopped.

On another note at least the batch 6 S3's have an antenna plug. What to do with it I'm not sure but there's a hole behind the s3 sticker(maybe it was adhesive I was smelling?) so with patience I can make a wireless mount or do like I planned before and try a laptop antenna and stick it to the inside of the top of the case.

Thanks

Still waiting on Bitmain with them.
There is nothing Juan can do until they clear up the issue.

If you have more information regarding this, please link it.

However, I still want to hear from Juan.  It's been over a month now.

There's no reason he can't take a few minutes to keep us in the loop on this.

It's part of the responsibility that comes with being an official reseller.

Perhaps you missed my previous post.  Either way, I'm not letting this die without a response.

If you can find time to pimp for new sales, you can find time to address this one outstanding issue.

What is the situation with S3 rebates/coupons?

Hello everyone,

When we were doing the first mass production, we found that not all of the S3’s DC/DC module could be stable enough to support the 478GH/s speed. After long time testing, all of the S3 run stably at 441GH/s, which however is 7.7% less than the 478GH/s we have announced.

So we decide the final specification of ANTMINER S3 here:

Hash Rate: 441 GH/s or more
Power Consumption: about 340 Watt at the wall when running at 441GH/s
Power Efficiency: 0.77 J/GH on wall
Power Supply: 12V DC
Size:  331 mm x 137 mm x 160 mm
Fans: Two 14038 fans mounted on both front and back ends.
Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 35 °C
Complied with: FCC / CE
Network Connection: Ethernet

Many of the customers may be lucky to find that their S3 can be overclocked to 478GH/s.

We apologize for this incident. We offer two options for customers:

1)   10.0% worth of coupon for the B1~B3 customers. This is the default option. (10% based on what you have paid for the B1~B3)
2)   7.7% worth of refund. We will release a function on our official website for application of this option. If you have bought from our resellers, please contact them and provide your Bitcoin address.

Shipping schedule updated:

Batch 1: The shipping will be finished in 14th and 17th.
Batch 2: It will be shipping out between 18th and 19th.
Batch 3: It will be shipping out between 19th and 22nd.

I gotta wonder how the s3+ will effect firmware for the current s3. I already had a der moment where I had to put an optional dns in to get it to mine and it would have been nice if they went with a more current cgminer(kano apparently hasn't gotten his s3 yet) and non ssl'd api settings area(I had to use multiminers support page to start learning how to tweak the api[though multiminer still couldn't control my s1 with their instructions]).

Is bitmaintech post more active for support?

Well it seems a bit more active. They have 3 forums rolling.

Update on my 112bit order (#1400) :

Overnight i got an email for my batch 5 order saying it just entered the shipping process. That's a day after the batch 6 S3s started shipping:

" ANTMINER S3 Batch 6 sales open. 0.66BTC per S3 will be shipped on August 12th, shipping cost included."

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8209729

It looks like my order did not get included with all the other batch 5s. So, I will be asking for compensation from 112bit.

Yes you are correct was 1 day delay because an administrative delay at our side.

Regards

Got my order today.

Hey Juan probably on everybodies mind being where bitcoin has gone this week but if we pay now for batch 8 and it goes back to 600's do we get a refund of sorts? Its probably in the game of chance with bitcoin but if seeing is believing I'll wait till batch 9.

Worth a shot to ask right? It'll be like bfl if I trust that somethings not going on with my exchange to explain the steep drop (someone cashed out alot?). Kinda considered a preorder at a month in advance pay.

Keep me posted

Thanks
