Hoping for them to price higher As I have 2 working s-9s I may sell.

Mine are early models with manual  tuning set to work at a slight under clock  not shit auto tuning .

There newer pricing makes my older tested s9's have a lot of value .

I think I will list them later today.

Maybe 1400 each.

Ridiculous price.... people will pay it.

When I first saw I could not buy these anywhere I thought, "the price is too low".

I paid $1445, plus shipping, for my 13.5 ordered in January.  However, I had to wait the entire Chinese New Year (a month) before it was shipped and I ordered and confirmed within 10 minutes of it going on sale.

Heard a lot about bad batches of S9s. T9s I heard is more reliable but obviously less TB/s. Which country are you in and how long did delivery take?

I have heard the same, but I think it's probably a warranty or other issue.  I would be saying a lot if I bought a $2000 iMac that didn't work and they said "no warranty".  Even if 98% work, that 2% failure rate is exponential in anger. It's a different culture. They took a month off for New Years! I recognize that I would be saying something very, very different if my S9 did not work on arrival and I had to pay return fees like others.

I live on the US West and it took about three days delivery.

This is not right.... let alone the price jackup

BM was not used to presell before... but this seems to change now. I am disappointed.

Ridiculous price. They're a monopoly though, they can charge what ever they want and people will pay it.

Did i see 1850$ US ?

Isn't like 400-500$ more then a few batch before ?

more like $1879+shipping=$1933
so, those ebay prices are not crazy afterall (they predicted this, in essence)

With a failure rate at the current height and a theoretical ROI of over one year, it could be arguable, if these are really GOOD news  Grin

When do we think the next batch of S9's will be released, do we think they will be cheaper or more expensive than last time, and what do we think their reliability will be like (lots of peoples S9's are dying on them currently)?

if tomorrow, then they will be more expensive in $$, same or slightly less in btc.
reliability-same.
They did not do even Q control last time, which explains why some people get miners with one board not working from the get go.

They gonna release a new batch of S9s maybe today or tomorrow

What would you guys prefer? T9 or S9?

Currently definately T9. It doesn't have issues the S9 have. Might be only because it was relased in small quantities. But still would prefer T9 if i would buy one.

You would have to calculate your risk level between a possibly faulty but more efficient S9 or a less efficient but rock solid T9.

My 5x T9s are orderded and 2x S9 13.5s.

That'll do.   Cheesy

My S9 13.5 is kickin' butt at around 13.6.  I'm still shy a psu for the 13 that's due soon.

Thats very good! But its are running very cold. Hope mine will be the same. Heard a lot about bad batches of S9s. T9s I heard is more reliable but obviously less TB/s. Which country are you in and how long did delivery take?

It would almost make sense that buying used miners would be the smarter move than waiting for a new batch, no? Cheaper price if used ...
I got about 1/2 price direct from manufacturer, but first time was nerve-racking. I hear every time is a little ...

... plus you know the miner has been tested for months with no failure, whereas if you buy brand new, it could fail next month.

Good point.

Has anyone calculated profits, ROI, total costs for Hashnest?

I have not, but I see miners as an "asset" and nesting as a "service".  I imagine one could do well ... or not.  The miner is always there putting out hash.  Once you are done with it - usually to buy more - people sell them at a profit to people like GMPoison who may prefer knowing the miner has been tested for months, plus ships from the USA.

You never know what BITMAIN is going to do.  They dropped the first batch of T9s (and the last one) with zero notice. They go fast and have true value, but you may live somewhere with 0.22c KW/h of energy costs and not make a dang thing. It's up to the person.

Mine for a Bit
Anyone know which batches exactly have been good and problem free, and which batches are having all these issues?

All batches of S9s have been problematic.

that is why , i have been buying from hashnest market for about 1 years.

If you have high costs , cloud mining is best solution with 7 cent/kwh electricity + all maintenance fee

Even though they advertise low electricity rates, they'll eat your savings up in other ways.

Only a few minutes into my just delivered March 1 S9 - but I have to say I'm impressed with no HW errors yet.
Speed seems to be settling in between 13.6-13.7 TH/s.

your temps are so good!
Mines are at 88-92 while room temp is 24-26C and airflow is quite good
