should i return to old firmware or what ?
they told me don't worry it's fine
Different freq boards means it is autotune.
New stuff.
New firmware, new hardware controller.
I don't think the autotune s9 will work with old firmware, (pre autotune) but I have not tried it.

this version Antminer-S9-all-201611020159-autofreq-user.tar doesn't have this issue
1102 seems to run too hot. There is an 1108 version.

i returned to Antminer-S9-all-201610260255-autofreq-user.tar

Both my batch 18's look like they might have a dead board in them after just 8 days use.   Sad

Need to check when I get home
What pool?

Kano
Kano is nice and smooth, should be good.
You may be able to send the dead board to Denver and they may fix it for $175+$25 shipping.
One of mine just arrived there now. You need a ticket at bitmainwarrany.com

Lol yes I know I've been mining there since a few months after it started.

They aren't dead just acting wierd. bitmainwarranty is an option, depends what costs more, the last one I sent back to China worked out ok.

Denver can walk you through troubleshooting first.

Ends up there are no down boards, but the machine is clocking itself down to 7TH and one board is giving weird output numbers.

Going to try rebooting them one at a time see if that helps.

Looks like it's by no means stable. Thermal cycling is hard on the works.
agreed. Looks like around a 20C swing for them. Mechanically that is not good for the chips and more specifically their solder bonds to the boards.

I just looked at my s9's and even the B17 and my latest a B18 (both never upgraded, has the auto-tune) is holding temps to about a 8-10C swing. I do see that the pre-auto tune ones with manual fan control have less variance, seems to be around 5-7C with my fans set to 85%.

In your screen shot I take it the gray-dotted trace and a couple others (~10C swing or less) are non-autotune miners?

all miners have the same firmware but this one is there new one that boards haven't same freq

Anyone try the old firmware on the new autotune s9?
I have 3 autotune s9's.
One is running 644 644 590 freqs on the gui.
Awesome miner shows 706 706 706. What do you suppose that means? Awesome miner not  quite working with autotune s9's?
By gum yer right: just looked at my b18. GUI reports 487.77, 460.44, and 568.2 while Awesome says all boards are 606MHz. Need to let Patrik know about this...
Fans off too, seem to be added together as one.

Electrical engineer. Mining since 2014.
The autotune batches seem to be a total flop.
