nice volume & price action @ poloniex today ... is BTM back in the game?
Most certainly not, and i doubt it will come back. However, i heard someone was mining heavily to temporarily get the blockchain going so they could send their coins somewhere.
also, BTM could be brought back but i seriously doubt it.
looks like somebody knows something we don't then - price up 182% on ~7 btc volume - I'm not complaining either

Now would be a good time to do something with bitmark. Poloniex is at its all time high in volume, with a massive influx of new users because of Ethereum. Their trollbox is very busy and lots of people are still marking, so new people are being exposed to btm.

need to get some big-ass giveaways going to get new people using it for marking

Not sure exactly what they have planned yet, but I'd assume that it's something that will end up getting the blockchain moving again to start with. I understand that this prevents miners from dumping, but doesn't this make the coin really slow in terms of a transaction?
When not enough people are mining it relative to the difficulty it does make it very slow, yes.
For a while we had some community members theorizing on solutions to that problem, and now a new dev with lots of cryptocurrency experience has been hired by dbkeys specifically to try to implement something new I believe.
