New S9 batch available, if anyone's in need. I didn't get an email this time, but saw a sponsored post on FaceBook of all places.

Their site shows stock.

Wrong, that wasn't Bitmain.

Maybe it's bitmain this time. Just got two emails for L3+ and S9 new batch being released.

I just checked the Bitmain website and it says sold out? How do you order what you saw on FB?

The FB ad was a scam, nobody apparently reads url's anymore.

A hurdle with Bitmain now though is they're only taking payment in Bitcoin Cash?

Stick with it. With 4 machines you will make good money. I watch Bitmain every day. I just can bring myself to pay Amazon prices.

There is a (POSABLE) new miner out called Dragonmint miner. I saw it on Ebay for preorder and on Bitcointalk. It's supposed to hit 16TH. If it is legit it's great for mining and it's not Bitmain's. Launch date is March/April My advice is to wait and see before putting any money into a preorder.
If you trust that Dragonmint is the real deal, Is anyone interested in a group buy. I would like 2 more machines but I don't need 5. I might be able to sell one more.

The Dragonmint miner is real! I have had physical contact Smiley

I might get in on this, just a little further down the road. My wife is ready to murder me because I bought a couple miners. I've rarely been at the top, but I'm glad to see Fefox and even superchargingmachine are dedicated and sticking around. I'm hoping to be up in the top 25 consistently once I get all my rigs set up. I have had my two S9's running for about a week now (Thanks Bitmain) and my other two S9's just showed up but I'm waiting on PSU cables (Thanks Amazon!). Hopefully tomorrow I'll have 3 of the S9's hashing here and the fourth will transition after I get enough BTC to cover electricity for the month from Slush or BTC Pool.  I have to flip enough to cover the 4 in case this is one of those dreaded 90% blocks we're messing with.

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm glad to be here and glad I found the forum.

Does anyone know why Bitminter is showing the difficulty and at approx 1,913,000,000,000 but Bitcoin wisdom is showing it at approx 1,590,000,000,000 and scheduled to go down? They normally match.

Bitcoin Wisdom is also showing 11 days to adjust when it should be 10 hours or so. Looks like it is not updating. from btc.com looks like we will be going up about 15% to 2.2T unless block generation goes down in thenext 10 hours.

Thanks for your response.
So it sounds like whatever USB based Asic days gone for good?

Any suggestion other than Chinese Antminers?
I'd definitely refuse those because there was already countable speculations that they had untrustworthy firmware codes.

the only usb asic stick  with a modern chip  is designed to mine LTC  not BTC

There is no small  quiet BTC miner with a modern chip.

A modified s-9   using 1 board vs 3 boards  can be made if you have an old firmware model

this uses about 385 watts  to hash 3550gh

Thanks for the reply.  I didnt specify but i'm mining bitcoin on both computers, but found it strange that Bitminter had two GPU's running for two weeks and only paid out a small amount while the CPU mined bitcoin at Nicehash for two days and the pay out was 3x or more.

That's because you're not actually mining bitcoin with that CPU. If you mine bitcoin with a CPU you earn nothing.

I've been mining my two computer GPU's on this site with averages of 11MHPS on one and 30MHPS on the other.

If you want to mine bitcoin you need to buy a modern bitcoin ASIC miner. Today 1000 GH/s is extremely slow and the fastest miner, I believe, has 16000 GH/s (16 000 000 MH/s).

There are some altcoins you can still mine with a PC. Some services let you mine altcoins and get paid in bitcoin.

At Bitminter we only support bitcoin mining (with merged mining of namecoin). Maybe we'll support other coins in the future.

Guys:
I'm new here and wanted to get some feed back on how this site works verses Nicehash.

I've been mining my two computer GPU's on this site with averages of 11MHPS on one and 30MHPS on the other.

I've been mining almost 3 weeks and only received 0.00000005 to date.

I've been mining my CPU at only 150kh at nice hash for two days and received 0.00007110

What am i doing wrong at Bitminter to receive so little vs the small hash rate at Nicehash?
