Ah, I got it.

I ran a reset via, System/upgrade/perform reset

Then ran it with the addresses set as standard and it worked.
Then changed the first one to bitminter...the apply button worked and off it went.

Then I took out the other two backup ones.

Odd, but I think the reset did it.

Phew...I can go to bed now....2am!

Thanks all

If you send me a screenshot of the exact settings you are using to [email protected] I will check what's wrong.

In case you have trouble reaching the main server at mint.bitminter.com:3333 you can try us2.bitminter.com:3333 or eu1.bitminter.com:3333 as well.

I've sent you a screenshot...just so frustrating that the Save & Apply button don't seem to work!

Make sure you put a password. You can use X or 123 or whatever you want. Just don't leave the field empty - many miners refuse to mine if you do that. Our server doesn't care, so you can put anything in the password field.

Also make sure DNS is working on the miner. Without DNS the miner cannot look up the IP address for mint.bitminter.com. If you use DHCP it's probably ok. If you use manual settings, make sure you enter a DNS server. One option is to use Google's DNS at 8.8.8.8

Yeah, did the password thing, also using DHCP.

On bitminter you have to make sure the worker name is created on your account. Once you have created the worker name eg. S7LN then you need to enter it into the pool details on the settings page of the miner. So your pool details would read:-

Stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:3333

Username_S7LN

Once that has been set you need to click "save and apply" (not having seen the gui for the s7 I'm basing it on previous antminers)

First of all you must have set up an account with the pool you want to use and use the same username for the account as the username for above.

On my old s3's I set the Ethernet settings to dhcp so it finds a free ip address on your router. Use "Advanced IP Scanner" to find the miner on your network. I think they appear as paragon technologies.

Try all that and see how you get on. Obviously make sure you all leads are plugged in and lights are flashing where they should be  Wink

Antminer S-series machines are stand-alone. You use a web browser to configure them and that's it. No need for any mining software (like Bitminter Client) on your PC.

Oh dear...help me please!  I've spent 3hours trying to get my new S7-LN mining with no luck.
I can ping it ok and run the setup and enter the pool details but no joy!  it just runs for 5 mins then start beeping really loud and I have to then turn it off.

I've tried both bitminter pool and antminer pool

settings for bitminter
stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:3333
username_workername (tried both _ and . )

settings for antminer
stratum+tcp://stratum.antpool.com:3333
username (for the life of me i can't find out how to make a worker name on antminer!  guess it's auto, I've tried _ and . with a made up name for a worker after my username but no joy)

Everytime, whatever I put into the fields, i press save and nothing happens, if I click out of that box to say the miner monitor box and go back, the fields are empty.
Clearly they are not entering.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE  someone help me!  I have to go out now and won't be back for 7hours! then I'll be up all night!  I'll give you my first 3hours coins if you hit the issue on the head please.

did I mention PLEASE!

At 84% CDF it means 84% blocks are found more quickly. But also 16% of blocks are slower. 16% is a lot. It's not something unusual.

OK, so what's with the CDF?  84%...81%?

Of course.  I can simply run it on it's own and access it via network.  Cheers.

Hi all...

Expecting my Antminer S7-LN tomorrow, so will add to the pool.

Can anyone advice me on best setup for this?
Can I use the bitminter front end (probably not)?

Any advice will be greatly received.

Just out of curiousity, would it be possible to have a bestshare column on the workers page for each worker?

Hmm, yeah, it would be possible. Interesting idea. Smiley

Just thought it would be nice to see the bestever share at least. I have no idea how much work would be involved so if it's loads don't worry Wink

Well it is good to see the pool back to ~3.3PH, all the hash that left after the bad luck block seems to have come back home.

That's and kfchicken keeps bumping the hash up with rentals

Its working again now. I use eu1. Must have been my end for some reason.

eu1 has looked stable to me for months. But it's always possible that something happens somewhere on the internet that results in some users not being able to reach a server. You could add mint.bitminter.com:3333 as a secondary on your miners.

Will do. Thanks Doc Smiley
