@Global BTC, if you want to remove a feedback tell the author that he have to write me a mail.

Just want to let you know that new features are coming these days. Basket & new checkout (standardization of shipping address, optional billing address or free textarea for digital goods)

A month later, he writes to me and says that he hasn't received his item.
Next time, make your offer to refund coins or reship product at this point. After several months when the customer has given up, it's too late.
Never give up!

*shakes fist* I will contact the thieving shits @ "RC & ME" every damned month until I get my *%!)ing battery charger!

Good advice. In retrospect, this is what I should've done.

Is there a way to retract given feedback? I've received some bum feedback, and I'd like to have a discussion with the buyers about solving any problems so they can retract their feedback.

As always, some customers behave quite odd. I sent off an order some time ago, in March. I give all customers the option to pay extra for registered shipping, but I also offer a free shipping option which is unregistered. The customer went with the free shipping option this time.

Now, since the items are shipped from China, they take a while to arrive. After about two weeks (normal shipping time), I contact the customer and ask him if he has received his item. He replies after a few days and says he hasn't received his order. He also says he will check with the postman and get back to me. I hear no more from him for a month.

A month later, he writes to me and says that he hasn't received his item. I reply the same day that I will make an inquiry with my supplier. I also explain that the item was sent unregistered, and that there's no way to track it. I make an inquiry with the supplier, and they check that the order was sent out as it was supposed to be. I know there can be very long delays when shipping from China, so I'm thinking the shipping just needs a little more time.

After two weeks, I message the customer and ask if he's received his order. No reply.

After another two weeks, I send another message and ask the same thing. This was yesterday evening.

Today I received negative feedback: "Item never arrived."

I really don't like this kind of behaviour - lack of communication and then negative feedback. I have offered the customer his coins back, or a reshipment. I'm guessing he won't even reply.

There's still a bug with the e-mail notifications. I changed my settings last night, as I wrote 8 hours ago. The settings included receiving e-mails when an item has been sold and an order has been paid. Since that, I've sold four items. All of them have been paid. Still, no e-mail.

@GlobalBTC. I dont know why but I wrongly thought that users were getting already emails when they receive a new msg on the order msg board. Now it is reality. And there was a little bug on the settings menu that interchanged email and pm of the new payment notification types when saving them.

I think there might be something wrong with e-mail notifications. I had set my preferences to send me an email for pretty much everything, but I never got any. Now I've changed the preferences and saved them, and the emails start dropping in.

I'm also having a hard time getting hold of some customers, I reckon some people just register, buy, don't pay, log out and forget about it. If they received e-mail confirmations of the messages I sent them they'd be easier to get hold off.

bitmit isn't responding for me today.

anyone else having issues?

Saw an error earlier that said something to the effect that bitmit has exceeded is resources.
can't remember exactly what it said.

When you submit photos, does it automatically re size them for the thumbnails?
If not, this could really increase the bandwidth demand on the site.
Maybe that would be the high priority item to fix next?

@ BitcoinTraderIE, I had some thoughts but it is not sure yet.

@ allten, you have some good ideas. I hear Craigslist for the first time but more localization features for local pickups are on my plan. I want to realize a "bitcoin map" , not only to get an overview of available items for bitcoins but also to get in touch with local Bitcoiners. But normally I do not talk about chickens before they are hatched  Are there many Bitcoiners on craigslist?

There are not very many bitcoiners on craigslist.........yet.
I think there's potential to bring new people not just to bitmit, but to bitcoin as well.

The site is awesome and I am stoked for the csv improvement.  I also like a lot of what allten is suggesting.  Being able to post locally is awesome for growing the local economy of bitcoin.

Hi tosaki,

I had a few suggestion hopping you would consider.

1) Failing auction. When I sell stuff on craigslist, I've always wanted to advertise stuff this way.
2) Shipping procedures saved in profile that would automatically be added for each listing.
3) Return Policy that I could add to my profile that would automatically be added to each listing with the ability to make custom edits.
4) Shipping calculator. It would be nice for the seller to put all the information about the shipping and each buyer would get a unique shipping estimate based on where they lived.
5) Post the listings on Craigslist for sellers that are willing for local pickup. I think websites like Craigslist will be the perfect market for future customers of bitmit.
I would love to work with you to make this happen. As someone who has sold a lot of stuff on craigslist I can say this would be very beneficial and could r
        really take off.

All in all, the site is great and I really hope you have patience for the slow growth and continue to perfect the site.

The auctions are listed with the bids at $X USD  (printed large) and the smaller Bitcoin price below that.

But the "Buy now" price is written with the larger Bitcoin price and the smaller USD price below that. The two entires should have the two prices listed in the same order.

Can you make it so that the link to messages lights up when you have an unread message?

I really like your site. A good quality online auction site is imo one of the most important things in the Bitcoin world. I thought that Biddingpond was good, but they mysteriously disappeared. You don't plan on going anywhere, I hope?  Grin
